Leache recently wrapped up his recruiting also, committing to play for Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. Look for the senior to push for playing time early in the Great American Conference. The Terra Verde standout can impact games in a variety of different ways. Leache has a strong frame that he uses on both ends of the floor to make a difference. In his final season, he averaged more than 12 points, five assists, five rebounds and two steals per game.

The Owls have a three headed attack for their backcourt and Leache helped them pour it on. Closed out the first half with a deep three, and shot it well from distance in the second half with a few more makes. Picks up and battles on the defensive end. Those are his top two traits, as he’s already strong and will likely be built like a tank once he gets into a college weight room. Can score it a bit off the bounce too, including a great spin move finish. Also did some playmaking in the second half, getting into the paint, drawing a crowd and whipping passes to open shooters.

Leache is one of the top available 2026s in Oklahoma because his scoring comes with translatable aspects. While he’s not a burner with the ball in his hands, he dictates the pace, knowing how to change gears and knife his way to the rim against taller players. His touch on his floater was also huge in his ability to score against a team that has college like size. Still has volleyball line range from three, as evident by his last score in the video.

A big time shot maker. Leache is a sniper by trade. But has worked hard to steadily evolve his all around game. Improved handles and floor vision highlight that evolution. Brings a winning background to Terra Verde, with a 6A State Title last year. And a Southwest Prep title his freshman season at Casady (when they were non OSSAA).

While Leache is finishing up his prep career at a non OSSAA school, he was still a big part of Deer Creek’s magical 6A State Title run. Always a sharpshooter, Leache has made strides in developing his all around game. First it was becoming a better scorer off the bounce. But in recent months, this has involved better ball handling and reading of the floor. He values the ball and is becoming more of a true playmaker. It’s always a good sign when players taste success and keep adding to their games.

Mr Clutch. December saw Leache hit a game winner against Yukon. Now in January, he’s cemented his ice cold resume with a tournament MVP at the McGuinness Classic and last night’s game winner against Edmond Memorial. It all starts with his elite shooting, which has proven to be among the state’s best. But his overall game has expanded this season, and he’s now cleared 1,000 points for his career. Leache will have a shot at another tournament MVP this week, as his Antlers host the Bruce Gray Classic.

The sharpshooter earned MVP honors for the event. His perimeter shooting was at the forefront of his elite performance. There was a barrage of three pointers in the first half of their semifinal win. Including a nasty stepback to close out the first quarter. Then timely scoring throughout the championship win. Shooting has always been Leache’s calling card, so it’s not shocking to see him put on a show from deep. But he’s steadily developed his off the dribble game, with a better handle and stronger frame. Good contact balance and outstanding touch around the rim, hit difficult shots at the rim in both games on Saturday.
Leache has hit the ground running at his new school. As along with the tournament MVP honors, last month he hit a game winning buzzer beater. The junior is establishing himself as one of the better shot makers in Oklahoma. And a critical piece of an Antler team with aims of a State Championship push.

Entering high school, Leache was already a knockdown shooter. Excelled as a three point threat, capable of operating in the mid-range as well. Leache did not rest on his ability as a shooter, and has made huge strides as an on the ball player. Now comfortably as a driver and improving with his vision and passing accuracy. Playing for a deeper team at Deer Creek means short term production likely will drop, but chances for growth will be evident. Expect Leache to be a lights out shooter and show growth when on the ball.

Continuing the theme of elite shooters, Leache has been lethal from three and in the mid-range in every viewing this year. He has some of the traits needed to be an off the ball threat, running to spots in transition, always ready to shoot, etc. But he’s making strides this year as a primary ballhandler for the Cyclones, mixing in improving creation by dropping the occasional high level dime in transition or half court.

Leache continues to look like one of the better scorers in the sophomore class. His shooting form is smooth and he made it rain from beyond the arc throughout the contest as the Cyclone’s most consistent threat. He loved to get out in transition, from running to spots along the three point line or pushing it himself. When pushing it himself, he was good when looking for his own shot. But was up and down when making the right read to find open teammates, vision and reading the floor are areas to watch as the skilled scorer continues to improve his lead guard traits.
