High School basketball season is upon us in Oklahoma. A couple Class 6A programs will start their season with out of state tournaments this week, with the bulk of the Class 6A and 5A programs will see their season start next week. With that in mind, here’s one last preview series that goes deep on the star performers in Class 6A and 5A.
Closing out the list of Class 6A and 5A prospects is a deep honorable mention list. Which features many prospects who by the time the season is done could very have played their way onto the second or even first team. After the top tier of prospects, the current talent pool in Oklahoma feels very balanced among the Class 6A and 5A teams.

Khai Brown Khai Brown 6'2" | SG Putnam City North | 2025 State OK , 6’4 2025 Guard, Putnam City North – A smooth guard, Brown can make it look effortless with how he gets to his spots on the floor. When he’s locked in from the mid-range and beyond the arc, he can look unstoppable as a scorer.
Brandon Butler Brandon Butler 5'9" | PG Northwest Classen | 2025 State OK , 5’9 2025 Guard, Northwest Classen – Top end to end speed makes Butler a blur in transition, while his short area quickness makes him a handful to deal with the halfcourt. The new district setting will provide Butler and the Knights’ scrappy guards more opportunities to compete with the best in 6A.
Kolton Brammer Kolton Brammer 6'2" | PG Southmoore | 2026 State OK , 6’3 2026 Guard, Southmoore – A contributor as a freshman, the skilled sophomore shooter is expected to see an uptick in his offensive production after strong development over the summer and fall.
Davon Chaffin Davon Chaffin 6'3" | SG Southeast | 2026 State OK , 6’3 2026 Guard, Southeast – Maturing into a bigger guard with good size, Chaffin will be a primary scoring option for a Spartans team that is looking to make it’s third straight Class 5A State Tournament.
Jaden Constant Jaden Constant 6'2" | SG Grind Prep | 2025 OK 6’2 2024 Guard, Putnam City West – Constant has deep range from beyond the arc as he’s been a key contributor of one of the top programs in 6A.
Jalil Cotton Jalil Cotton 6'5" | PF Tulsa Memorial | 2025 State OK , 6’5 2025 Wing-Forward, Tulsa Memorial – An athletic hybrid forward prospect, Cotton will be a regular double-double threat for a tough minded Charger quad in 5A.
Kemar Cyrus Kemar Cyrus 5'11" | PG Northwest Classen | 2024 State OK , 5’11 2024 Guard, Northwest Classen – Cyrus has been a quality off the dribble threat since his freshman year. He’s best as a crafty finisher, especially in transition, but has made strides at the point guard spot.
Tre Davis Tre Davis 6'7" | PF Enid | 2025 State OK , 6’6 2025 Wing-Forward, Enid – Light on his feet for his size, Davis will a force to be reckoned on both ends of the court for the Plainsmen.
Jeremiah Deering Jeremiah Deering 6'4" | PF Deer Creek | 2024 State OK , 6’4 2024 Wing-Forward, Deer Creek – One of the top dunkers in the state, he’s an explosive leaper who last year provided a spark off the bench for the Class 6A State Tournament. With a bigger role expected this year, look for more game changing slams and blocks.
Triston Driver Triston Driver 6'0" | PG Bixby | 2025 State OK , 6’0 2025 Guard, Bixby – After a solid start to his high school career, Driver looks set to explode as a complete scorer for the Spartans as a junior. Shooting will always be his calling card, but the continual improvement of his game as a driver will be critical to him shouldering the scoring load.
DeShawn Denson II DeShawn Denson II 6'2" | SG Midwest City | 2026 State OK , 6’0 2026 Guard, Midwest City – One of the top shooters in the freshman class, Denson has developed improved confidence off the dribble ahead of a potentially huge sophomore campaign.
Hezakiah Green 6’3 2025 Guard, Norman North – A promising scorer who was enjoying a strong November till a minor injury derailed his scrimmage play. Green is expected to be the top scorer for a balanced and scrappy Timberwolf squad.
Korbin Gunn Korbin Gunn 6'1" | PG Union | 2025 State OK , 6’0 2025 Guard, Union – The 918 guard seemingly always steps on the court with the goal of making his teammates better. He’s one of the better passers and creators in the state and could be the key to unlocking the talents of his high upside Redhawk teammates.
Dalen Fuller Dalen Fuller 6'4" | CG Union | 2024 State OK , 6’3 2024 Guard, Union – An athletic and explosive finisher at the rim, Fuller looked more controlled in the halfcourt at recent scrimmages. The sky is the limit, especially in transition when cleared for takeoffs.
Tristan Hankins Tristan Hankins 6'2" | SG Moore | 2025 State OK , 6’3 2025 Guard, Moore – Hankins has been a quality shooter for Moore as they’ve made back to back Class 6A tournaments. He’s shown flashes of being more than a shooter, with good size for either guard spot at the next level, with a big final two years of his high school career to go.
Roy Henderson Roy Henderson 6'0" | PG Midwest City | 2024 State OK , 6’0 2024 Guard, Midwest City – One of the more underrated off the dribble scorers in the state, he looks to be a key part of a bounce back Bombers squad
Jayden Hopkins Jayden Hopkins 6'1" | PG Carl Albert | 2026 State OK , 6’1 2026 Guard, Carl Albert – Hopkins is ready for a big role as a primary ballhandler for the Titans as they compete for the Class 5A title. Not only can he be one of the best downhill attackers in the state, he has the potential to be a whirlwind of havoc on the defensive end.
Camden Hyman Camden Hyman 5'10" | SG Choctaw | 2024 State OK , 5’10 2024 Guard, Choctaw – An elite shooter, who provides crucial floor spacing for his athletic and big Yellowjacket squad that made a run to the 6A Semifinals last year. While also providing good secondary playmaking and often being in the right spot and the right time on the defensive end.
Jax Kerr Jax Kerr 6'10" | PF Owasso | 2025 State OK , 6’10 2025 Forward, Owasso – Kerr has touch as a shooter in the mid-range and three point line, but his size and improvement around the basket will be crucial for the Rams to contend for the 6A crown.
Hudson Linsenmeyer Hudson Linsenmeyer 6'1" | SG Deer Creek | 2024 State OK , 6’1 2024 Guard, Deer Creek – An underrated tough shot maker, Linsenmeyer averaged double figures during the Antlers’ State Tournament run and can hit tough looks from beyond the arc.
Gavin Loper Gavin Loper 6'3" | PG Westmoore | 2024 State OK , 6’3 2024 Guard, Westmoore – Loper has been a quality “Jack of All Trades” role player for the Jaguars, but an expanding offensive scoring package should allow him to finish his high school career with a bang.
Braydon Morgan Braydon Morgan 6'0" | SG Guthrie | 2024 State OK , 6’0 2024 Guard, Guthrie – A competitive two way guard, Morgan averaged 13 a game for a guard heavy Bluejay squad.
Cam Parker Cam Parker 6'6" | PF Crossings Christian | 2025 State OK , 6’6 2025 Forward, Crossings Christian – Parker made one of the biggest jumps as a sophomore, transforming himself into a more mobile stretch forward, who is particular strong in the pick and pop game.
Daytain Patton, 5’10 2025 Guard, Shawnee – As a sophomore, Patton had the controls of the Wolves offense and averaged 12 points a game.
Bryce Potts Bryce Potts 6'7" | PF Edmond North | 2024 State OK , 6’6 2024 Forward, Edmond North – Potts always introduces energy when brought into the game for the DEEP North squad. He beats opponents up on the offensive glass and finishes with authority.
Ryan Reynolds Ryan Reynolds 6'6" | SF Carl Albert | 2024 State OK , 6’6 2024 Wing-Forward, Carl Albert – A versatile forward, Reynolds has the size to battle around the basket, while also stretching the floor with a shot that must be respected from beyond the three point line.
Nik Rhodes Nik Rhodes 6'0" | PG Edmond Santa Fe | 2024 State OK , 5’10 2024 Guard, Edmond Santa Fe – A good floor spacer last year, Rhodes has made strides this off season with an improved handle and scoring off the dribble.
Carter Roman Nose Carter Roman Nose 6'3" | CG El Reno | 2025 State OK , 6’2 2025 Guard, El Reno – As a sophomore, Roman Nose averaged 12 points a game as El Reno qualified for the 5A State Tournament. With his quality perimeter shooting and strong defensive instincts, that scoring average should go up this year as he carries a bigger load as an upperclassman.
Lesley Rose Lesley Rose 6'1" | CG Northwest Classen | 2024 State OK , 6’1 2024 Guard, Northwest Classen – Quality in the mid-range with a strong frame, Rose is another key part of the Knights’ scrappy backcourt that gives them the upside to compete with bigger teams.
Xavier Ross Xavier Ross 6'7" | PF Edmond North | 2024 State OK , 6’7 2024 Forward, Edmond North – Ross has helped anchor the paint on back to back State Championship squads.
Jamarri Simpson Jamarri Simpson 6'3" | CG Booker T Washington | 2025 State OK , 6’3 2024 Guard, Booker T Washington – Quick and with next level size for either guard spot, Simpson could make one of the biggest leaps of any junior guard in Oklahoma.
Domaunique Stephens Jr Domaunique Stephens Jr 6'0" | PG Putnam City | 2025 State OK , 6’1 2025 Guard, Putnam City – A shifty floor general, Stephens JR is a quality decision-maker with the ball in his hands. Who could be set for a big scoring year, if he becomes more assertive on a consistent basis.
Deke Thompson Deke Thompson 6'3" | SG Sand Springs | 2025 State OK , 6’3 2025 Guard, Sand Springs – After emerging as a quality shooter and defender as a sophomore, Thompson has continued to refine his off the dribble game. His new school has looked feisty this scrimmage season and will likely be making noise in the new District format.
Trey Tuck, 6’2 2024 Guard, Stillwater – Also a standout football prospect, Tuck is a big body guard with a sneaky offensive package, especially in the mid-range.
Jordan Warrior Jordan Warrior 6'0" | CG Putnam City West | 2024 State OK , 6’0 2024 Guard, Putnam City – One of the top defensive players in the state. Warrior is set to be the floor general for the Pats in his final year as an ideal representation of a Putnam City West guard.
Boden Williams Boden Williams 6'1" | SG Owasso | 2026 State OK , 6’3 2026 Guard, Owasso – Williams hit big shots for the Rams as a freshman. A bigger role is likely incoming as he’s grown and become stronger, while also picking up an Oklahoma State offer this summer.
Julius Wilson Julius Wilson 6'4" | SF Holland Hall | 2026 State OK , 6’3 2026 Guard, Holland Hall – Athletic and skilled, Wilson is one of the top breakout candidates among a talented Oklahoma sophomore class. By March he could be one of the most complete scorers in the state.
Dontrell Yearby Dontrell Yearby 6'2" | CG Edmond North | 2024 State OK , 6’2 2024 Guard, Edmond North – Yearby provided crucial floor spacing during his first season as a Husky on the way to a Class 6A State Tournament. He would likely have a bigger scoring role for many 6A programs but excels in his role for the winning program.
