What went down on the final day of the Ridgewood Live Event? Here is a look at the games I caught along with prospects who made impactful impressions on us with Ridgewood Live Event: Scotty B's Sunday Notebook!

Schroeder and Brock Team Up to Get Wheaton Academy W to Start Day

Wheaton Academy opened up the day with a 45-42 W over Naperville North. Their star [player_tooltip player_id='2125634' first='Hayden' last='Schroeder'] went to work on the low block as the top 5 rising senior was a force on the offensive glass, passed well finding open teammates, and played physical around the hoop netting 13 points. His 2028 running mate [player_tooltip player_id='3579289' first='JP' last='Brock'] had a nice outing as he is a skilled wing with plus shooting from deep that has explosive athleticism above the rim and shake off the dribble notching 16 points.

Naperville North 2027 sharp shooter [player_tooltip player_id='2409224' first='Jack' last='Zitko'] was at it again pouring in four triples in the loss after a nine triple outing the day before. Clark Roush is a 6'4” 2028 post worth monitoring at the small college level. Thick post that can stretch the floor with his shooting hitting multiple threes.

Big Three Make Statement for Mt. Carmel

Mt. Carmel is looking to make a move in the new Chicago Catholic League. They have nice depth and their three stars brought it in their 57-30 victory over Stevenson. [player_tooltip player_id='2767906' first='Ronald' last='Johnson'] is the top guard in the 2029 class. Point guard with great size at 6'3” being able to create for others with his passing, defend at the point of attack, physical takes downhill, and is a sound shooter. [player_tooltip player_id='2915584' first='DK' last='Heard'] is one of the premier sophomores with his length and high motor. Played above the rim on the glass and lobs. [player_tooltip player_id='2403910' first='Logan' last='Wessel'] has a lot of helium after a strong last three months. Skilled wing with size as a shooter, but also explosive pop off the ground as he is putting it on the deck more consistently.

St. Patrick's Size Key in Pair of Victories

We saw a pair of St. Patrick wins back to back on Sunday 43-33 over York then 58-52 against Stevenson. Their big man [player_tooltip player_id='2437108' first='Omar' last='Ajanovic'] was excellent in each going for 16 points and 17 points in the two contests. Did a nice job stretching the floor with his shooting from three. Physical post player that scored down on the block also getting to the charity stripe at a nice clip. Good rebounder in his area who plays with a high-motor and great positioning. Minnesota football commit Dylan Mota brings more size to this group at 6'9” playing physical on the glass and rebounding well in his area. Fellow 2027 prospect Jimmy Gzeslawski proved to be a plus spot up and movement shooter at 6'1”. Also liked what we saw from 2029 6'0” point guard Gael Guituerrez scoring 15 points in the second contest as he consistently got in the lane for sweeping and spinning layups.

Depth of Guards Factor in Whitney Young's Win vs Geneva

The Dolphins at Whitney Young are an interesting group. They have six wings who are ranked in their respective classes along with a couple of utility big men. It was enough to record a 65-40 win over Geneva. Long term their top prospect is 2029 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2886496' first='TJ' last='Jamison'] who is one of the top players in his class. Combo guard with size who got downhill with slippery moves and shake. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='3649457' first='Jaivyn' last='Richardson'] is a smaller guard who can really knock down shots from three and play with speed. Emerging four man [player_tooltip player_id='2433704' first='Oliver' last='Kerrigan'] is an interior presence rebounding and scoring with feel in the paint

Geneva 2027 scoring guard David Udoiwod had a big game with 16 points. Creative bucket getter that drained threes, floaters, and got in the paint at a nice clip. [player_tooltip player_id='2369872' first='Cody' last='Rader'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2369858' first='Jonny' last='Udoiwod'] are the future 2029 duo in the backcourt. Rader displayed excellent passing feel along with being a capable three point shooter. Jonny is a microwave scoring guard!

Ridgewood Scores Huge W vs Glenbard North

Massive win for host school Ridgewood scoring a 41-38 victory against a really good Glenbard North team. They played rock solid defensively while getting some scoring from their 2027 6'0” shooting guard Dino Gianini. Played both on and off the ball while knocking in threes, mid-range shots, along with splitting defenders off the bounce. Quality passer as well. Keep an eye out for 2030 Neal Nano as a 5'11” guard that can hit big shots!

On the Glenbard North side their 1-2 punch of [player_tooltip player_id='2455373' first='Oturo' last='Redento'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2125660' first='Lamari' last='Carpenter'] each flashed. Redento is a PHI favorite as an uber versatile wing who stuffs the stat sheet. Rebounds, threes, euro steps, and passing with flair. Carpenter drained a trio of three pointers in the game creating on his own along with a slippery take.

St. Laurence Continues to Roll

There has definitely been some buzz about St. Laurence this month with added transfers and their stars stepping up. They got a 40-32 win on Sunday. [player_tooltip player_id='2323617' first='Markese' last='Peoples'] continues to do what he does best. Skilled handles and bully ball down the lane. Crashes the offensive glass for second chance points. Finishes so well in traffic and has passing flair. Went for 16 points in the win. [player_tooltip player_id='2125677' first='Reggie' last='Stevens'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2385372' first='Noah' last='Corro'] are capable shooters. [player_tooltip player_id='2532002' first='Jeremiah' last='Toney'] is a tough guard with length who impacts on both ends. [player_tooltip player_id='2715607' first='Kelechi' last='Enyia'] and AJ Enyia are impact transfers!

[player_tooltip player_id='2532341' first='Keyae' last='Lacy'] is a 2027 combo guard who is coming off a great spring with Geek Squad. Spin moves off the bounce, got to the foul line, and plays with a ton of athleticism.

Whorlow Does Work in Paint for St. Francis

Wheaton St. Francis 6'9” 2027 five man [player_tooltip player_id='2389886' first='Ben' last='Whorlow'] went to work against Niles Notre Dame inside. Big bodied five with legit size that played with strength through contact, was effective in the pick/roll, backed down defenders, and even drained a spot up three. Passed well out of the post while scoring 15 points in a 43-41 win. Class of 2028 power forward Cullen Katzfey put his name on the map with his size at 6'6” bringing mobility on the glass. They have a young 2030 guard in Donovan Humphrey who is football/basketball prospect. The lefty wing brings plus athleticism getting downhill on slashes for buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='2438565' first='Luke' last='Lettvin'] had a nice game in this one as he poured in a plethora of threes with a sweet lefty shot from beyond the arc. More than just a shooter as the Niles Notre Dame guard showed some nifty handles as well.

Iggy Closing Out Strong Month Behind Tucker

St. Ignatius won 48-32 vs Palatine finishing off a good month. [player_tooltip player_id='2531962' first='Amir' last='Tucker'] has probably locked down the vacated top PG spot in 2028. Started getting some buzz on the coaches side over the weekend. Continues to grow and showcase his shot making at a high level from beyond the arc including scoring 24 points in this win. Mixed in an array of pull ups in the 15 foot range and flew down the floor in transition. Solid passer and has become the leader of Iggy. The Ross brothers had strong shows as well. Class of 2027 small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2125620' first='Duke' last='Ross'] is known mostly for his shooting, but in this game it was his ability to put it on the deck for buckets. [player_tooltip player_id='2433752' first='Walker' last='Ross'] is a 2028 shooting guard who is such a great connective passer in the half court and quality defender. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2839874' first='Chris' last='Chittaro'] will probably go the baseball route in college, but with his shot making spotting up and hitting guys on the move passing will be a valuable player for the Wolfpack this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2864400' first='Jake' last='Tripp'] is a thick bodied five man that garnered deep post position, sealed off defenders on the catch, and rebounded well in his area. A 2028 center to monitor. [player_tooltip player_id='2821321' first='Brady' last='May'] banged in a pair of threes with one of the cleanest shots in the 2027 class.

Mendota Prospects Shine

I was able to get my first in person look at Mendota 2028 duo [player_tooltip player_id='3454838' first='Cole' last='Tillman'] and Ashtyn Stamberger in their 39-33 win against vs Providence Catholic. Tillman had a strong game as the lefty wing dropped 17 of his teams points. Quality passer that found guys on the move maneuvering his body to get a clean look for the dish. Creative ball handler that scored on sweeping takes, went coast to coast off the defensive glass, and hit a three early although struggled from deep the rest of the game. Stamberger has nice size and length at the point as a 6'2” playmaker with crisp passes and crafty handles.

Waubonsie Valley Finishes Event with Dominant Outing

Our last game of the June period was Waubonsie Valley's impressive win 51-38 over TF South and it wasn't as close as the score would indicate. [player_tooltip player_id='2125659' first='Kristopher' last='Mporokoso'] is a skilled jumbo wing who can really shoot it from three, connective as a passer, and did a nice job in this game getting to the rack. [player_tooltip player_id='2404896' first='TJ' last='Adams'] played very well with his distribution to teammates and speed in the open floor. The 2029 point guard is on the rise. [player_tooltip player_id='2422332' first='Isaac' last='Echols'] is a 6'2” guard that has put his name on the map in June as a pogo stick rebounder, connective passer, and quality defender. [player_tooltip player_id='2766431' first='Kyler' last='Payne'] brings size, rebounding, and defense inside for Waubonsie Valley.

Quick Hitters

York 2027 duo of [player_tooltip player_id='2839900' first='Joseph' last='Lubbe'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2829810' first='Miles' last='Burnison'] had their moments on Sunday. Lubbe is coming off a strong close to the high school season leading his team down state with his play. Plus three point shooter with size that showed more skill in his bag off the bounce on strong takes finishing reverse layups and floaters. Burnison is a skilled post that is at his best sealing around the hoop and using his touch.

Stevenson has a few prospects worth monitoring. [player_tooltip player_id='2403274' first='Timothy' last='Sirotyuk'] goes 6'7” and made a big jump into our rankings post spring. Back to the basket post that has turn around moves, touch, and can hit mid-range shots going for 14 points vs St. Pats. [player_tooltip player_id='3658697' first='Kavin' last='Patel'], had 15 points in that same game as he is a crafty 2027 5'11” guard. [player_tooltip player_id='2403165' first='Quinton' last='Frakes'] is a plus shooter with size at 6'6” who can be a nice combo forward at small college level. [player_tooltip player_id='2403348' first='Robby' last='Nowak'] is a name to track in 2029 as a 6'2” wing who used his stocky frame on straight line takes.

Oswego guards had it going in one game we saw on the court next to us. For them it all begins with [player_tooltip player_id='2125627' first='Ethan' last='Vahl'] who is among the elite 2028 players in the state. Made solid reads when playing on the ball in the half court making good decisions off live dribbles and shot it well from three. Class of 2029 guard [player_tooltip player_id='3252526' first='Jayden' last='Alford'] was lights out draining corner threes one after another with a sweet lefty shot.

Deerfield 2029 post [player_tooltip player_id='2798656' first='Zach' last='Newman'] is a strong bodied post in the sophomore class that garnered deep post position and made quick post moves including spins on the block and finishing with either hand.

Niles Notre Dame 2029 wing [player_tooltip player_id='2948540' first='Emran' last='Alispahic'] is a strong bodied small forward who pushes in the open floor, finished out of dunker spot, and put it on the deck from mid-post.

Plainfield East 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2406554' first='KJ' last='Miller'] is one of the more polarizing players among college coaches. A lot of it comes down to how engaged he is game in and game out. We saw a little bit of him on Sunday where he did play with a better motor than we saw at RB. Lead guards at 6'6” with his shooting and athleticism do not grow on trees.

Marist rising senior power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2125658' first='Kendall' last='Meyers'] is the clear go to guy and leader for the defending state champs who lost almost everyone. Like his ability to put the ball on the floor from the mid-post for scores at the cup.

Taft 2028 wing [player_tooltip player_id='2441084' first='Noah' last='Hester'] is a player our Steve Parham has liked this month and on the last day of the June period I got a look at him. Strong bodied and athletic 6'5” wing that can play bully ball downhill with length helping him finish. Liked how he poured in mid-rage shots at a high level.

Watching from one court over Hoffman Estates wings [player_tooltip player_id='2892582' first='Bryce' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2125600' first='Collin' last='Tierney'] were going to work. Smith has size on the wing as a 6'5” 2028 small forward who threw down big dunks, shot fakes for blow bys, and has a lot of intriguing tools. Tierney is a skilled 2027 wing who has a clean three point shot and showed sneaky pop.
