Scott Burgess has been the lead high school basketball scout and recruiting analyst for Prep Hoops Illinois since 2014. Scott has been a mainstay in Illinois recruiting circles over the last decade plus breaking stories on the latest happenings in recruiting and evaluating the state's top players throughout the year. He has contributed to numerous websites and has appeared on radio shows/podcasts across the country. Throughout his young career he has gained knowledge in scouting, journalism, and web design. He ran his own high school basketball recruiting, NBA Draft, and NFL Draft website while in high school. He graduated from Missouri Baptist University with a degree in Sport Management where he worked with many organizations and events such as the MLB All-Star Game, Women's Final Four, and several St. Louis Sports Commission events. Basketball is his true passion and he enjoys running events as well. Scott has been a huge part of the success of the Prep Hoops Circuit since day 1 helping recruit and service grassroots programs for the largest independent circuit in the country! He has worked with the Nike Hoop Jamboree/Nike Elite 100 since 2009 as an administrative assistant. This prestigious camp features the top underclassmen in the nation each year. Over the years he has also helped in the event management of the Nike Global Challenge, Kevin Durant Skills Academy, and JT Elite Camp which all have featured the premier prospects in high school basketball. What separates Scott is scouting ability. He understands how to evaluate prospects and what it takes for players to get to the next level. He has great enthusiasm and passion for basketball in the state of Illinois. College coaches, high school coaches, AAU coaches, and the prospects themselves enjoy working with him. Steve is a former high school student-athlete in the states Illinois and Maryland, where he won a state championship before graduating from Bennett High School in Salisbury, Maryland. He played three years of collegiate basketball before finding his true calling of coaching. Parham began coaching in 2006 for Morgan Park High School in Chicago. He played three years of collegiate basketball before finding his true calling of coaching. Parham began coaching in 2006 for Morgan Park High School in Chicago. From there he would go on to the junior college ranks where he assisted numerous four year schools in landing talent from the Chicago area. Steve is a gym rat and hoops junkie. He often travels to gyms across the state of Illinois (sometimes in the same day) to evaluate talent and enjoy watching games. Currently Steve is the head coach at Chicago Percy L Julian High school. He also serves as an aid to many college programs, helping them locate players that meet their needs. Teddy has been a writer for Prep Soccer and Prep Hoops since 2021. Over the past few years, he's produced high school sports content in a variety of ways. He posts highlights, player rankings, team rankings, and news stories on his own instagram page, Underdog Sports. The content he's produced has helped lots of high school athletes in Illinois, Teddy has been a writer for Prep Soccer and Prep Hoops since 2021. The content he's produced has helped lots of high school athletes in Illinois, especially basketball players, get recruited to play collegiately. As an athlete, Teddy played four years of varsity soccer as a goalkeeper for DePaul College Prep in Chicago, and earned first-team all-conference his senior year. He also played in the Illinois Premiership divisions with his club teams. Teddy currently plays collegiate soccer at Beloit College in southern Wisconsin, while majoring in Media Studies. He also provides sports content for the school's athletic department and worked in the production, photography, and PR team for the Beloit Sky Carp: minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins. For Prep Network, Teddy produces soccer and basketball content in both Illinois and Wisconsin. Teddy was born and raised in Chicago, IL and is a huge Chicago sports fan.

Josh competed as a high school student athlete playing varsity football, basketball, and track and field, in the state of Wisconsin. Josh won a state football title with his team during his junior year in 2016, he earned all-conference honors across football and basketball, and was named a WFCA and WBCA All-Star, respectively. In 2018 he graduated Josh competed as a high school student athlete playing varsity football, basketball, and track and field, in the state of Wisconsin. In 2018 he graduated from Edgar High School and spent the next 4 years studying at Loyola University Chicago where he graduated in 2022 with a BBA in Sport Management. Now, Josh is a high school basketball scout and writer for Prep Hoops Illinois. Sports are his passion, and he truly enjoys watching and learning to contribute accurate and enthusiastic details to see young athletes rise to the next level.
