2027 SG out of York has terrific size for his position. Listed at 6’4″ but probably 6’5″ or 6’6″. I see him more as a 3-and-d kind of wing player with his shooting capabilities and perimeter defense. There’s also some decent physical attributes to his game which I like from him, too. 

Lubbe had one of the best shooting performances I saw through this entire weekend. An above average game by a wing is usually one where guys will make 3 or 4 at an efficient rate which is always fun to watch. He took it to another level however. In team’s morning matchup he hit 4 of 5 in the first half and then added 3 more in the second for 7 total. He knocked down shots in transition off catch and shoot opportunities, coming off screens hard, or spacing away accordingly on the arc. His length will be a challenge for opponents to keep contained. Possesses IQ while not forcing the equation. Positionally will fit into a 2 or 3 with size at the next level.

Lubbe led the Dukes with 15 points on the night. He showed patience and precision using off-ball screens, and displayed a variety of finishes including a gentle floater and a mid-range pull-up after reading the defenders. He also spotted up nicely for his lone three of the night, receiving a well-delivered pass from the post. Lubbe played with the mentality to get to the rim and force defenders out of position, reaching the charity stripe ten times and converting eight of those attempts. His off-ball movement and ability to put the ball on the floor made him a difficult matchup.
