Peoples continues to climb up the board with his powerful game as an undersized shooting guard who is a monster getting in the lane and has tremendous body control finishing through and around defenders. Dominant rebounder for a guard especially on the offensive glass. Pushes in the open floor and is so tough to cover with a head of steam behind him. The swing skill that will ultimately determine his level and success is the jumper. Stat sheet stuffer reminds me of a shorter Roosevelt Jones.

First time I saw Peoples play was at our showcase event on a Saturday last Fall. First impression I remember was that he’s a hybrid player because of his frame and the way he moves with agility. It’s just not that common in basketball to have a bit broader sized body with hands and feet as quick as Markese’s are. Today he showed why he’ll continue to gain more great impressions from colleges going into his senior year. He bangs down low and competes against bigger posts. His strong and versatile movement allows him to consistently gain advantage whether he’s in a guard or forward spot. It will be interesting to see where the program that he ends up going to places him in. Should be in store for a standout senior campaign.

Peoples lived up to what everyone had been saying. Strong, physical, and skilled shooting guard that is relentless getting downhill attacking the paint. He has a thick bodied 6’1” guard that has crafty handles and plays so well through contact. His spin move is next level in the lane as he was consistently putting opponents in a spin zone for buckets. Rebounds very well for a guard and is a plus passer with solid feel for an off guard. Did show some more vertical pop than we had seen in the past including a big dunk. Ultimately the question marks are the size and jumper as we didn’t see him take one although the free throw stroke looked good. He has picked up multiple offers since the end of the event.
