Slippery lefty guard with a smooth handle and some shake. Thomas has advanced IQ for age with the ability to impact on both sides of the floor. Works effectively in transition speeding the game up with head on a swivel to see what’s in front and is available while reading options. Shot it really well off the catch at a high clip throughout the day. Thomas can create off the bounce while facilitating for others. Has intelligent hands defensively to create turnovers while using quickness to his advantage.

The first thing I wrote down about Thomas was “flashes of mini Coby White.” A few plays later, I added “…but with more consistent defense.” Thomas’ perimeter shooting was impressive all day long and he played with an edge defensively, swiping the ball with active hands. He has energy plug potential – the type of guy you bring off the bench and the whole team gets better. There is a lot to like about a shooting / combo guard who can stretch the floor offensively while refusing to cave on the defensive end.
