I’ve had the opportunity to see Tierney’s game multiple times this spring travel season but this was the first time catching him with his new Hoffman Estates squad. The lengthy shooting guard didn’t skip a beat as he fits right into the mix of another well coached Hoffman Estates team. He gets his shot off quickly and at a high clip as an efficient marksmen beyond the arc. He also provides deceptive athleticism for hard aggressive takes to the cup and earns trips to the free throw line after drawing contact. A wing that should continue to build stock and one to certainly keep tabs on through his senior campaign.  

Collin was anything but quiet for Big 3 Basketball 17U against Wisconsin Rockets 17U. He was making his presence known early with 3 3’s in the first half. That does not even touch the surface of his impact as he was a monster on the boards. A true two-way player with a nonstop motor. He was great running the floor beating the defense multiple times down the floor for easy buckets. The versatility is real with Collin as he did a little bit of everything. Finished with 31 points.

Watched Tierney play for the second time in back to back weekends. In first afternoon game Saturday he hit multiple spot up 3’s in rhthm with good rise on jumper. Offensively spaces floor on drives. Had a baseline scoop in traffic and another finishing full speed on a breakaway. Continues to impress and gain stock with reliable motor and activity.

A confident swingman to let it fly from well beyond the arc with good demeanor. Has a green-light mentality. Can knock it down running the wing off primary break action or in ½ court setting. Adds value on the glass to crash and squeeze on both ends. Like the versality and willingness to compete to win plays. An intriguing wing prospect.
