Illinois EXPO: Team 2 Evaluations

Plays with speed on both ends and can blow by you in an instance. Caught my attention by burying a tricky mid-range jumper with a defender all in his face. Then drilled an open three pointer a few minutes later. Plays with a ton of energy and gets up and down the floor at a great rate. Forced a few turnovers on defense. Plays with pace. Not afraid to score from anywhere on the floor. Added a smooth mid-range jumper at one point in the game. Followed it up with another as he faded back. Can make an effort by setting screens. Plays with underrated pace moving up and down the floor. Glass-cleaning abilities are present. The biggest part of his game when watching him is his box-out abilities. Winning effectively on the glass, while adding a couple out-back finishes down low. His ability to cut off passing and driving lanes with his defensive footwork is also a strength. Super strong build for a forward. Showcases great body control on the post. Had some very solid moments this afternoon. One being a nice no-look pass to a cutting teammate. Best moment from him came at the end of the first game as he pick-pocketed a defender and took it the other way for a fastbreak dunk. It was always a challenge to break past him on the defensive end. Had some strong moments Saturday morning. One of them coming off a challenging reverse-layup which he made look easy. One of them being a fast-break dunk that got his team off the bench with excitement.
