One of the top players in Illinios, Mporokoso was excellent for the Illinois Wolves UAA 17u throughout the weekend at the Run N Slam. The 6’3″ left-handed guard featured strong physical tools and fluid athleticism from the perimeter. He showed off a smooth jump shot, got to the rim off of the bounce consistently, and was a versatile defender as well. Look for his recruitment to take off during the live period.

One of the top 2027 prospects in the state is this Waubonsie Valley wing. Really liked what he showed throughout the day as a wing that can also play on the ball as the initiator. He is known mostly as a spot up shooter, but the other areas of his game really shined through in this setting. First his ability to win consistently off the bounce. Got to the rim at will. In the first game he missed a few bunnies, but as that game and the second game we saw went along he was dominant with his slashing for scores finishing with spin moves in the paint. Long strides in transition help him cover a ton of ground. The pinpoint passing was also on display in this game as he played on the ball and made good decisions as a distributor. Also got after it defensively with multiple steals and blocks. Complete game from Mporokoso.

Highly skilled wing who shoots the ball with consistency. He has guard-like handles with some emerging athleticism. Kris surprised me with a couple of rim rockers on a few leak-out plays. He is expected to be the standout prospect in a lead role this season for the Warriors. Division 1 schools have been inquiring about him.
