Caught Jamison in the team’s first game of the day and he established himself as one of the premier perimeter shot makers at the showcase immediately. He displayed a feathery release with repeatable mechanics from deep either off the catch or going into his shot off the bounce. His pull-up game was demonstrated after advancing the ball himself and recognizing a laid back defense. With his size, Jamison can attack off dribble drive action and draw plus 1 defenders to then make good reads. He initiated early pitch a heads in the offense to advance possessions quickly after rebounding. His length affects shots on the defensive end as well. A two way wing from WY that still has upside with an already patented and impactful skill set.

It’s no surprise that Jamison was one of the standout prospects of the Sophomore Camp, but it’s impossible to keep his name off this list. Jamison is a premiere scoring threat who can catch fire from three and take over a game. There wasn’t anyone he played who could slow him down – in his first game, there were stretches where Jamison simply got to whatever spot on the floor he wanted. Jamison’s interior passing skills are wise beyond his years and he can also be a relentless downhill scorer. One of the most dangerous offensive players at the showcase and, in my opinion, the next great Illinois basketball player.

Jamison has checked a ton of boxes from the first time he stepped on the floor with Whitney Young a year ago in June.  He has elite size at the combo guard spot at 6’4” with good length.  Plus shooter from three that can really let it fly from beyond the arc with a feathery touch.  Makes sound reads as a passer off live dribbles and can get in the creases of the defense for scores in the paint.  Quality defender who can check either backcourt spot.

In the game we caught Jamison it was his ability to create off the dribble with his slick handles and shake getting downhill for scores in the paint.  Coast to coast takes along with winning in the half court hitting the creases in the defense.  We know in other games our staff saw he shot the cover off the ball!

One of the star shooters to keep tabs on in the class of 2029 coming out of Illinois. The WY Dolphin product has size, length and perimeter shooting ability that will check a lot of boxes on next level coaches prospect charts. In early afternoon game on Sunday, he hit 4 treys in rhythm with the last one being from NBA range at the top of key. Jamison has a smooth crisp release and shows confidence in his stroke. With his length to already fill at 2 or 3 man’s role now, it will be intriguing to see his development continue over the next 3 years.
