A long and athletic prospect that showed multiple operating tools in his arsenal throughout the day and why he is one of the top Illinois class of 2029 recruits. Marshall’s game speaks for itself and if there was an an MVP vote at the event, he would have been my top candidate. He generated so much offensive value that he pretty much got whatever he wanted to in the two games I watched. His transition play and quick decision making skills were evident while he attacked nearly closed spaces and still converted or made the right read. His long strides, positional size at 6’5, and change of pace hesitation movement continuously manipulated defenses for angles. He recognized help rotations to pass the ball off drive and kick reads or making the extra swing passes for assists and setting up shooters. Marshall’s trajectory as a playmaker and defensive challenger will continue to climb.

Marshall is a basketball magician. His size immediately stands out, but it’s his outstanding touch and ability to seemingly change directions in midair that makes him most unique. He can explode to the rim without warning and has the body control to turn difficult shots into soft finishes at the rim. Marshall is unusually shifty for a player his size and consistently finds creative angles and acrobatic finishes, including some thundering ally oops. He also impacts the game defensively with good help instincts. It was fun watching him dominate in two-man basketball with fellow prospect, TJ Jamison TJ Jamison 6'4" | PG Whitney Young | 2029 State IL . Both of their play screamed D1 player.

Marshall is primed for a monster sophomore season after showing flashes as a freshman.  Skilled and athletic wing that takes great angles off the dribble getting to the rack.  Can post up smaller or weaker defenders in the paint for scores on spins or short jumpers.  Bouncy finisher in transition with a ton of physical and athletic upside!

One of the most athletic 2029’s I saw this weekend. Smooth and skilled wing that operates positionless at times with a matured feel for game. Made multiple takes to the hole for conversions on tough angles. Comfortable operating amongst multipole defenders while nearing the hoop. Displayed excellent feel on the block for a post up and then spin move jumper from 5 feet with hangtime. Has bounce as well while running down a fast break and blocking it from behind. Plus wingspan. Stock will continue to rise here.
