If we were casting MVP votes at The Expo, Carpenter would be a top candidate at the event today. He was consistently in attack mode and used his downhill balanced approach to get to the cup and make plays happen. For the on ball defender he was tough to stay in front of as his quick first step and length continued to be a challenge. Carpenter looked comfortable from 3 land as well while utilizing ball screens, changing speeds, and creating separation. Vision wise he saw the floor one play ahead of the defense and created numerous transition opportunities for himself and teammates. He placed a well timed lob for an alley-oop on one play and was noticeably bouncy himself elevating above the rim to finish throughout the day as well. Once in the lane he made tough plays look simplistic with making the right reads. The Glenbard North guard should continue to gain traction on the recruiting trail from Division 1 teams as he preps for a probable stock rising senior campaign.

Carpenter is a two guard with a wiry frame and plus shot making!  Knocked in threes while also pressing the issue in the open floor scoring in transition.  The passing was what caught our attention the most from a growth standpoint as he made nice reads in ball screen situations.
