A lead initiator who combines functional agility with a high active motor across multiple phases. Rader provides shooting versatility from beyond the arc showing comfort in spot up options or creating rhythmic threes off the bounce. He consistently finds scoring windows through intentional on and off ball movements. As a facilitator, Rader processes the floor well while utilizing backdoor cuts and keeping his vision up to generate early pitch ahead passes off of rebounds from the guard spot. Defensively he finds opportunities to disrupt point of attack pressure at times using his activity and anticipation to help generate turnovers. A two way tough guard from Geneva that should continue to see stock increase.

An electric playmaker with unmistakable presence, Rader stands out before he even touches the basketball. Those long, flowing curls may be the first thing you notice, but once he starts playing, it becomes clear that his game is every bit as distinctive. Rader can get hot from behind the arc, secure monster rebounds even against bigger and stronger competition, and turn a careless pass into a steal in an instant. He’s the type of player you find yourself gravitating toward simply because you know something special is going to happen when the ball is in his hands.

Rader has been on our radar for a while as a heady floor general that plays the game with a ton of flair.  Crafty ball handler that has a knack for getting where he needs setting up his passing off live dribbles, shooting, and soft touch finishing game.

Rader has advanced IQ for the game at his age. His ability to recognize what was working and not working was evident in the early morning game this morning. If his shot wasn’t falling which it rarely is not, he was going off the bounce quickly and hitting angles hard to get paint touches with the rock and then creating off of dribble drive action. His handle is foundationally disciplined while continuing to create separation after changing speeds. Rader finishes fast at the rim whether in transition or during 1/2 court segments which makes defenses stay on their heels. Defensively he applies strong on-ball pressure and consistently helped speed pace up off of turnovers or misses. His communication and leadership skills he brings to the floor gives a team more advantages on both sides of the ball.

Rader is a fun lead guard who brings a lot of instincts and flair to the game.  He makes those around him better with his on point passing for shooters and cutters off live dribbles.  Also is a plus shooter from beyond the arc spotting up along with pulling up from deep.

A highly touted three sport athlete for the Vikings, Rader brings a crafty and nifty feel to the game. Played a lot of minutes last year as a true freshman and will provide even more value this upcoming season. Saw him compete vs one of the top ranked teams in the state over the weekend and he showed a smooth shot release from three land. What was most impactful was his passing game and ability to share the rock selflessly alongside two other talented back court guards. He made a cool drop off dime on the break and hit a teammate going back door for another assist. His IQ to see the floor and play with great pace will continue to help team make winning plays.
