Marist 2027 F has a smooth game. Gets up and runs heading up and down the floor. Showed vs Joliet west he can finish with ease with both hands as he makes great strides to the basket. Also a very effective rebound crasher with a few second chance opportunities in that game. Later stretched the floor for a corner 3-pointer to keep Marist up big. When watching him, he showed so many tools to be an impact player. Will be the go-to option for the defending 4A champs this upcoming season.

Meyers had a big weekend in his first big stage being “the man” for the defending state champs. Really like what the playmaking face up four man brings to the table. Can stretch the floor with shooting off catch while decking it for scores through contact. Great feel in transition both getting downhill along with as a passer. Rebounds well in his area and we saw some growth defensively with an array of steals.

6’5″ Marist wing has shown he can take over a game this postseason. Leading Marist on a big run in their game against Homewood-Flossmor which pushed them to a sectional championship last week. Could be a big time threat in the future if his consistency grows.

Meyers flashed the upside many have discussed regarding his long-term potential. Early in the game, he attacked Stack off the bounce and finished through contact — a strong sign of his confidence and skill set. He later stretched the defense with perimeter shooting while also contributing on the boards. Meyers competed physically, boxing out larger players and helping limit some of Benet’s second chances. Despite the loss, his all-around production was evident and impactful.
