The first week and a half of the high school hoop season is in the books. There were countless big-time performances, game-winning shots, and even a few school records broken. Here's a breakdown of some of the top performances I got to see plus a long list of other top performers noted below.

[player_tooltip player_id='2116694' first='Trey' last='Collier'] | Silas - 28 points, 10 steals vs Curtis

He's a kid who wants to play aggressively and with pace on both ends. Did just that against Curtis in their season opener, dropping 28 points and racking up 10 steals. His crafty footwork and pickup variations in traffic allowed him to find constant space around the rim, as well as some flashy assists in transition. Collier's quickness on defense really showed up with his reads off the ball where he jumped passing lanes for the majority of his steals. The junior guard also got up for four or five dunks on the night.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021623' first='Maximus' last='Christiansen'] | Kamiak - 22 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals vs Newport

The Kamiak guard has picked up right where he left off last season, dropping 22 points along with 12 rebounds, six assists, and four stocks in their opener against Newport last week. The lefty guard once again showed his ability to find the rhythm from deep, dropping in four 3s on his way to a Knights win. While a lot of his game looks similar to last year, one area he has clearly improved in is his strength. He's able to play at different paces, use patience and balance to work through traffic, or with his back to the hoop, and finish efficiently off two feet.

[player_tooltip player_id='1685492' first='Brian' last='Webster'] | O'Dea - 30 points vs Emerald Ridge

Webster was simply too quick for anyone who lined up across from him in O'Dea's win over Emerald Ridge. Webster got the advantage off his first step regularly, was able to burst out of dribble moves and get north/south, and ended up making his 30-point outburst look pretty easy. He's been showing off some really improved burst and ability to fly down lanes to the hoop, and when he pairs that with the type of outside shooting he showed against the Jags, he's one of the toughest offensive players to stop in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1685493' first='Doni' last='Burkett'] | Todd Beamer - 38 points vs Kentwood

Showed off some extended range but overall scored from just about every level, including a ton of free throws. When he went after his defender, and when he got those one-on-one matchups, he pretty much got to wherever he wanted. He was also able to weave through multiple levels of defenders to finish at the cup, and converted on several and-one opportunities. Should see quite a few games like this from Burkett this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1863196' first='Ethan' last='Harris'] | Camas - 45 points (School Record), 11 rebounds, 18-32 FG

Harris went off in their second game of the year, setting a new single-game scoring record at Camas with 45 points on 18-of-32 FG. He's able to be an efficient scorer with his combination of playmaking and shooting, putting pressure on the defense with his ability to score from each level and find the open man. He was concentrated on working to the rim and picked his spots from deep well. Also kept the ball moving, and was active looking for cutting lanes off the ball, constantly working to get good looks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021594' first='Giovanni' last='Moimoi'] | Kentridge - 29 points, 6 blocks vs River Ridge

Moimoi is a super strong wing who did a great job against River Ridge, playing off two on his paint attacks, and had an efficient night on his way to 29 points in the win. When he gets to two, he's able to change direction and slip past defenders, go up strong through contact, and it puts him in position to be ready for second efforts. He also racked up six blocks on the night.

[player_tooltip player_id='2205052' first='Logan' last='Heigert'] | Burlington-Edison - 36 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals vs Mariner

Heigert was on his game in a 36-point effort against Mariner last week. With his shooting ability, he's a factor wherever he catches the rock, and was able to take advantage of space from each level, turning and facing to shoot over the top, creating space with hard jabs, and making some great cuts off teammates' drives to get the ball by the hoop. His size was a factor too, as he contributed on the glass with eight rebounds and was able to get up for a couple big jams.

Other Notable Performers:

[player_tooltip player_id='2716621' first='Cole' last='Floyd'] | Ferris - 20 points, 17 rebounds, 5 steals vs Moses Lake

[player_tooltip player_id='1685495' first='Mateo' last='Cummings'] | Lake Washington - 28 points, 8 assists vs Bainbridge

[player_tooltip player_id='2879457' first='James' last='Thomas'] | Annie Wright - 26 points, 8 assists vs Vashon

[player_tooltip player_id='1863198' first='Brayden' last='Fischer'] | Shorecrest - 35 points vs Marysville-Getchell

[player_tooltip player_id='2380116' first='Jaden' last='Ghoreishi'] | Mt.
