Here is a senior who really showed that he is one of the top bucket getters in the class. He scored at will all season, scoring from all 3 levels and being a player who can catch fire from deep. His deep shot is excellent and he can get it off quickly, staying confident in his shot. Bierlink was spectacular all season and fun to watch on the court.

Followed up his 26-point performance on day one with a 52-point game in a 64-63 win over La Center. He’s a lethal outside shooter, but did most of his damage in the paint in this one. His strong drives opened up some stop-and-pop looks in the midrange, and as the ball denial got more aggressive later in the game, he found some more opportunities for quick buckets with good movement off the ball.

Quincy opened up the day at the SunDome with an 11 a.m. game against Fort Vancouver, and Bierlink opened up the day getting box and one’d from the tip. He fought through it to have a strong first quarter, making great reads and decisions, but was stifled in the second quarter. He found it again in the second half, really focusing on getting to the paint, working to the foul line, and finding ways to create space in the midrange. He finished with 26 points.

Bierlink has been putting up big numbers at Quincy and really does it all for the Jackrabbits, even guarding 6-foot-8 posts. He’s a tough guard who has made big strides defensively and with his downhill game over the last year, and when you pair that with his electric outside shooting, it’s no wonder why he’s one of our sneaky good guards. He ended the summer on a heater and should compete for the CWAC MVP this winter.

He’s a sharpshooter who can really get things going from deep and has shown how effective he can be in manufacturing runs with his confidence from downtown. He’s been putting in a lot of work to grow as a defender and downhill driver that’s helped him affect the game in more ways, and play with some more physicality on both ends.

Pierce is a big time prospect in the state of WA. He is a fantastic ball handler, keeping it close to his body while being able to control the pace of the game efficiently. Bierlink scores the ball nicely too, being able to break down defenders off the dribble and move off ball to find open spots in the defense. He plays in transition very well, pushing the ball down the floor quickly with his speed or his vision by finding a teammate who is leaking.

Pierce has been where the Quincy offense comes from this season, being the main facilitator and always having the ball in his hands. He scores well from all 3 levels, being able to light it up from deep if defenders leave him open for a split second. He is just an overall tough, gritty guard who knows how to play his way and control the pace of the game for his style of play. He is impressive to watch and will only be getting better.

Bierlink plays a huge role for Quincy and has to be relied on to do a lot of shot-creating and playmaking. In their game against Prosser, he had to take advantage of any space afforded him and was able to do that by firing away from deep. Aside from his shooting, he also showed some toughness defending Prosser’s big man in the post, getting position for rebounds, and overall just playing a tough brand of basketball. He finished the game with 29 points and 14 rebounds.
