Weimer is a standout player whose game has seen remarkable growth over the past few seasons. Standing at 6’4″, Malakai uses his height and length to dominate defensively and offensively. His ability to score efficiently makes him a top-tier player, capable of impacting the game in crucial moments. Malakai’s commitment to improving his skills is evident in his performance, consistently making him a player to watch in the state. His presence on the court not only elevates the team’s play but also sets a high standard for his teammates.

Malakai has really been in the gym perfecting his game as you can see the game coming easier to him on the court. He crashes the boards hard, having a high motor and always giving 110% each possession. He shoots the three well, being able to pop or roll when setting his guards screens. His quick step when driving down hill has been effective during the AAU season, being able to get to the bucket and play through contact.

Malakai has been playing extremely well to start his junior year, showing he has taken the next step in his game. He is pushing 6’5″ now but still moves just like a guard. He can create for himself smoothly off the dribble and will feed open teammates, always playing unselfish. Against Kelso, Weimer dropped 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Weimer showed up big in a SW Washington battle against Evergreen. He finished the night with 25 points and 12 rebounds, on a healthy mix of outside shots, finishes down low, and trips to the foul line. If there was one area Weimer had been a little inconsistent in the past, it was at the foul line, but he put that concern to bed by going 10-for-12 on freebies and looking as confident as ever at the spot. He also dropped in a few three-pointers, another element of his game that continues to improve, and he was all over the defensive glass, bringing that toughness we’re so used to seeing from him.

Weimer is a player who does whatever it takes to win the game for his team. He defends the paint well, being a big time shot blocker and rim protector for his team. He makes big time plays on both sides of the ball and provides huge energy to his team. Weimer can adjust when finishing easily, absorbing contact well

A true competitor, Weimer is a playmaker with the ball who can operate in tight spaces and get downhill to the rim. He plays well off two feet and can finish at odd angles near the hoop. He’s made big strides the last year or so and will be a kid to watch this June.
