About Carson
Expert Analysis
Ryan Morgan | Prep Hoops Scout
The Prairie big man continued to show off his paint dominance, becoming Prairie’s all-time leading scorer in the process. He’s got a pretty classic inside game, eating up space, physical attacking angles, and comes with second and third efforts on the glass. He’s still got some sneaky athleticism to tap into, and with some work on his physique, could be a kid who transfers to a higher level in a year or two.

The Prairie big man has a pretty mature low-post game, has the strength to get good position, and can work deeper off the catch with a strong base and some good footwork. He’s been vacuum gathering rebounds up, and also does a nice job passing out of the post and feeling extra defenders coming over.

One of the most dominant bigs at the event, Morningstar combined size and skill with physicality. He scores from the post, blocks shots, and even creates off the dribble when needed. Carson seals well for position, rebounds hard, and runs the floor better than most his size. (AG)

The most classic low post threat in this list, Morningstar really stands out in his class for his ability to work from the blocks. Eats up space on both ends in the paint, has a good motor to battle for extra shots and possessions, and while he’s a really strong kid he also has some good lift to go and high-point rebounds. He’s been extra impressive this spring on the offensive glass, hunting down boards like a hawk and trailing drives, always finding his way to the rim in one way or another.
