Davis came up huge at the state tournament in a number of ways. He put up the big stat lines in every game, but also had the incredible buzzer-beating layup against Columbia Rivers that sent Bremerton to the title game. He also found himself at the free-throw line in the championship with the game on the line and came through yet again. He’s Washington’s Gatorade Player of the Year for a reason, and now a back-to-back 2A champion.

One of the fastest rising prospects in the country, Davis had an impressive summer with Beauchamp Elite and followed that up with a co-MVP performance shared with Bruce Branch III (our number 1 national 2027 prospect) at The Formula, a camp ran by Damian Lillard that featured some of the top prospects from across the country. Davis scored 20.9 PPG on the Adidas 16 U 3SSB circuit and was 4th in efficiency at 1.20 points per possession. I expect Davis to continue to rise in other national rankings he’s ranked outside the top 30 on both 247 and ESPN at the moment.

Jalen is a fast rising prospect not only in the state of Washington but the entire country. He is starting to gather Division 1 interest and rightfully so. I watched him a few summers ago and he already looked like a star then. Davis now has a complete offensive game and breaks down defenders off the dribble in a very advanced way for his age. He averaged 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists during the 3SSB session 2 last weekend.

Davis came on the scene last season as one of the most electric freshmen in the state and found a way to top that in his sophomore season. He led Bremerton to the 2A state title and is a kid who can simply do it all. He’s a knockdown shooter from any range, but what really separates him is his instincts and ability to read the game. He’s a smooth playmaker, high-level defender, and his play led to several offers this year, including Stanford, Seattle U, Montana, WSU, and Washington
