I was able to attend the prestigious Section 7 event in Mesa, Arizona. I saw numerous games featuring loads of talent from both the regular and prep school divisions. Here are some of the standouts from the event:

[player_tooltip player_id='2375385' first='Jalen' last='Davis'] Bremerton:

The scoring guard was super impressive in the game he played. Coming off playing in Italy and the NBA Top 100 camp, he came into Section 7 trying to prove something. He was scoring with ease from all 3-levels of the court. He changes pace super well and uses his body. He is a leader and puts his teammates in positions where they will succeed. He will continue to be a national stock riser as the year goes on.

[player_tooltip player_id='3671769' first='Ruan' last='Kennedy'] Dream City Christian:
The young PG showed flashes at Section 7. He is a big 6'6 guard and uses his size nicely. He is an elite-level passer. He uses his eyes nicely to throw off defenders. Ruan has a quick first step that helps him get into the paint well. He finishes well around the rim and uses fakes nicely. Ruan will be on the rise as the season goes on.

[player_tooltip player_id='2625619' first='Davion' last='Shareef-Dulaney'] Lincoln:

Davion was one of the biggest stock risers of the entire event. He showcased his elite scoring ability. He has an elite 3-ball that he hits often. He will score off of downscreens, curls, and off the bounce. He is also able to get downhill and has a ton of crafty finishes around the rim. Davion will continue to show out throughout the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2197693' first='Chris' last='Brown'] Dream City Christian:

The super-lengthy center showcased his defensive abilities at Section 7. He has elite timing when blocking shots around the basket. He rebounds at a high level, skying over opponents and highpointing the ball. Once he gets the rebounds, he finds the outlet pass and runs the floor hard. He scores around the rim on second-chance opportunities and on dump-off passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2758274' first='Mateen' last='Cleaves Jr']. Dream City Christian:
The elite point guard showcased his high IQ all weekend long. He has an amazing feel for the game, which allows him to easily involve his teammates. He was hitting outside jumpers but also got into his midrange bag. He will always be a pass-first guard, but will still look for himself when the time comes. He is already one of the national stock risers this summer, and he will continue to grow and get better.
