Max’s game keeps getting better and better as the years go on, entering his junior year he is becoming a top 30-50 player in his class. He was a first team all conference last year and is on pace to do so again. He had a great game against Lake Stevens, doing it all for Kamiak, dropping 30 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 steals.

Christiansen had an impressive outing, albeit in an overtime loss, against Bothell last week. He missed a couple of shots to open the game but found some rhythm by getting to the foul line and then took off after that. He drained a three shortly after, but then did most of his work getting to the rim and making things happen. He’s a pretty crafty guard who knows how to get shots off around bigs and was especially effective driving in and spinning back out to his strong side. They also like to run him off of staggers where he does a great job reading the defense to either come off and attack or sneak back door for easy buckets. Christiansen finished with 25 points at Bothell.

Maximus showed his ability to score the ball well and play at an elite level to me before last season started at the Laurel Shootout in June 2023. He proved himself last season while earning a 4A WESCO first team nod. He gets to the rim smoothly with both hands and knows how to facilitate the Kamiak offensive very fluidly.

Christiansen announced himself this past season as a first-team selection in the Wesco 4A. He’s a soft-shooting lefty who has some good craftiness to his game. He not only can bury shots from deep but has shown he can mix up timing around the rim and hit from difficult angles to convert in close. He’s also a heady kid who plays largely mistake-free hoop and is willing to make the right play at the right time.

Christiansen had a bigger role for this Kamiak team as a sophomore and stepped up big for them. He creates space nicely, having enough space to get his shot off on opposing players. He finishes around the rim effectively, being able to absorb contact and remained balanced.

Previous Rank: 74rnChristiansen has already popped off for some nice scoring games and he looks like a kid who has more in store. He does a great job creating space on the perimeter, has a good rhythm with the dribble and has the control to get defenders leaning back. He’s a good shooter too and when he gets going from outside, can really pile up the long-range shots. He does a good job getting shots in the paint off quick and overall doesn’t seem to play loose with the ball, avoiding turnovers and bad passes.
