Webster came out on fire in their fist game against Shorewood, hitting 10-of-19 shots for a total of 29 points, in a game O’Dea won by 10. He managed just 14 points in their next game against Rainier Beach, but it was a tough 14. He went 7-of-8 at the foul line and had to earn each point against the eventual champions. He still managed to finish tied for sixth in total points and seventh in points per game in Tacoma.
He was on from the start, scoring his team’s first 12 points and finding the rhythm from each level. Got where he wanted off the dribble and was able to keep a constant flow with the space he created for quality looks.
Webster is a kid who can finish plays with his creativity, varied timing at the rim, and finishing package, but on display along with that ability to score the rock at the Pop-Up Run were his quick reactions and playmaking. He was quick to loose balls with some key long rebounds, and was also quick to make reads off possession changes, which led to several key passes in transition down the floor ahead of the defense. He was finding guys over the defense with lofted long passes, threading the needle through tight windows to hit teammates in stride, and found a couple of well-timed dishes off his penetration in the half-court.
Webster was a menace getting downhill with big bursts of speed on Tuesday, and showed some great footwork and balance to get around defenders and to the cup. Time and again, he saw space and darted by perimeter defenders with some great acceleration. He also showed off that speed on the defensive end, flying into passing lanes and racking up a few steals.
Webster seems to just get it done, no matter who he plays, and he’s going to play his game, get to his spots, and scores equally well at the rim as he does from outside. He scored 25 points against Timberline using a mix of bumps, bursts, and hesitations to continually work to the hoop and earn trips to the foul line. He can work inside off the dribble but he also did a great job working off the ball, using screens to his advantage, and getting to good spots with the ball. The prolific scorer also had some high-level playmaking going on against Doherty.
Webster is a knockdown 3-point shooter who showed off how quickly he can get going in their game against Roosevelt this week. He was relatively quite in the first half, splashing in just one three, but came out in the second half drilling his first three shots from deep and opening up a big O’Dea lead. He’s a kid who can score inside and out, and can really go with whatever is working.
Webster put on a complete scoring performance at the pop-up, showcasing his sweet shooting stroke from 3-point, off the bounce in the midrange, and with some high-level finishing and awareness at the hoop. While his outside shooting was pretty impressive, his ability to finish plays at the rim was even more eye-opening. It often wasn’t anything fancy, but his late burst, timing to avoid shot-blockers, and ability to cash in from tough angles were real differentiators for the O’Dea guard.
Brian could easily be in the top 5 for the 2026 class. He is a dynamic scorer who knows how to put the ball in the bucket at all three levels. He has shown on the EYBL circuit that he can compete against the top talent in the country and is poised for a big season with O’Dea once again. He’ll likely be a starter on the team and see more looks on the offensive side of the ball, which he will benefit off of.
