Ross has been another player impressing over the spring and summer. Has good length and athleticism on the wings and has been shooting the 3-ball at a better clip, while also making more aggressive downhill takes. He hit a few shots to help his team gain some momentum and will chip in tough boards and make some defensive plays that really ignite his team.
Ross has continued to improve his consistency from 3-point range and has really been a valued 3 & D rebounding wing for the Conks this winter. When he is on from outside, it opens up more lanes inside for their guards to penetrate, and they don’t have a ton of size up front, so his defending and rebounding can really play a pivotal role for them.
Standing at 6’4”, Caleb made significant strides during the AAU season, becoming a versatile offensive threat. His increased ability to shoot from different areas of the court, combined with his adept ball-handling skills, made him a formidable force. Utilizing his length, he excelled at finishing around the rim, leaving defenders struggling to contest his shots. On the defensive end, his wingspan allowed him to effectively alter and block shots, disrupting the opposing team’s offense. His all-around development not only elevated his personal game but also played a crucial role in his team’s continued success during the AAU season.
Good athlete who can contribute across multiple fronts – rebounding, slashing, 3-point shooting. Has really improved as a floor stretcher and can be a very determined finisher around the rim, working for extra possessions and getting shots up through contact. Should have an expanded role with Kentwood this winter.
Ross is a wing who has shown to be pretty versatile so far in the spring. He is a solid spot-up shooter from 3-point range, contributes on the glass on both ends, and has shown some ability to get to the rim. He has the length to defend multiple positions and could be taking a big step forward next season at Kentwood with a lot of shots opening up.
Caleb’s size at 6’5″ really stands out on the court. He runs the court well in tranisition, being able to fill lanes quickly or run the court using his dribble. Ross uses his length smoothly in order to get to his shots, getting by defenders with his long wingspan. His long wingspan also helps him on the defensive side where he has quick hands and reaction time.
Ross is a long forward who can run the floor, uses that length well to snag down rebounds, and cleans up misses on the offensive end. He moves well and shows good athleticism around the paint. He could step up to fill some frontcourt minutes at Kentwood next season and has the skill set to be a real factor in pick-and-rolls.
