This top guard continues to elevate his game with each performance. His confidence from beyond the arc is unmatched, effortlessly knocking down shots whether he’s contested or not. His tight handle allows him to maneuver past defenders with ease, maintaining control while driving to the hoop. Whether it’s from deep or in the paint, he’s a constant scoring threat who keeps defenders on their heels. He averaged 22.6ppg over the 3 games he played during the weekend.

Mosby continues to put up big numbers at Lakeside, averaging 30.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.1 steals per game this season, while shooting 40% from 3PT. He sees the floor extremely well, which helps him get to his spots, avoid double teams and traps, and really attack screens at a high level. And while he’s been a bucket getter (two 40+ point games, nine 30+ point games), he’s also been upping his assist totals over the last handful of games, notching 4+ assists in each of his last five games, and 5+ assists in four of those.

Mosby has been a constant producer over the last two years, playing 16U as an 8th grader, and 17U this past spring and summer, and also leading Lakeside last year against tough Metro competition. He already has a mature game, getting to his spots, reading defenses, and showing off insane shooting ability. But he’s also a guy who can run the point, direct an offense, and dime guys up. Look for him to post another monster year this coming winter.

He’s a kid who forces you to guard him as soon as he crosses half-court. Has incredible range, is patient using ball screens to create space, and displays crafty footwork from any spot on the floor. Not just a great shooter/scorer though, shows awesome presence with the ball to evade pressure whether it’s doubles, traps, or getting blitzed on screens, and has great vision to get the ball to guys in space.

Mosby is another young guard who plays a much more mature style of hoop than most freshmen. He’s a kid who can shoot the lights out and has some extended range behind the arc, but he’s also exhibited incredible vision and playmaking, making him a true dual-threat who can score or dish at any time. He processes the game at a high level too, showing he can not only get open, but get the ball in spots he wants to attack from and moves the defense with his motion. He’s already a leader at Lakeside and has put up the big stat lines to back it up.

Mosby should come right in and have a sizeable impact at Lakeside. He had an excellent spring/summer season playing with Hoop Land’s 16U team and could be one of, if not the top shooter in his class. He has game-changer ability from behind the arc but is also capable of running the show and creating chances closer in. He’ll be an exciting player to watch this season.
