Collins is a freak athlete who plays above the rim and has shown some high-level shot-making with his jumper. But now his decision-making is starting to reflect his high potential; he’s taking better shots and using his athleticism to impact the game all over the floor. He should be one of the more exciting players to watch this winter with a young and highly talented Annie Wright team.
Collins is another highly-touted sophomore wing who will be wearing new colors this winter. He made the move to Annie Wright after playing at Sumner last season. Collins is one of the more tantalizing athletes in his class and has shown some quick-hitting offensive talent from different levels this spring and summer. We should get to see a lot more of him this winter as he starts his journey with the defending 1A state champs.
Austin is a dynamic wing player, has made significant strides on the court this summer, emerging as a key player for his team. His smooth ability to navigate the court and reach his preferred shooting spots is complemented by his beautiful jump shot, which has become a reliable asset in his offensive arsenal. Known for his strength in the paint, Austin effectively uses his physicality to score against tough defenses, while on the defensive end, his versatility allows him to guard multiple positions. As he continues to hone his skills, Austin is set to make a considerable impact on his team’s success this coming season.
Collins played up-and-down minutes off the bench for Sumner this past season but had enough “wow” moments to make you see the potential for this springy wing. He’s a long, lanky athlete who can play above the rim, and has shown a quick trigger from behind the arc and in the midrange. The skills and potential are there and as he refines his game and learns to apply his athleticism to other areas of the game, he should take off as one of the more promising wings in his class.
Good athlete with some length at 6-foot-3 who can be a difference maker crashing in from the perimeter to win extra possessions on the offensive glass. Has the potential to be a good shooter and has been on at times when he is looking and feeling confident. Hit a couple of threes in their season-ending loss to Kentwood last week, and overall a springy wing with some big potential who already played solid minutes for Sumner in his freshman season.
