About Miles
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I would describe my game as coachable, high-IQ, and relentless. I play with grit, compete with intensity, and use my athletic ability to impact both ends of the floor. I take pride in making the right basketball decisions, being unselfish, and doing whatever my team needs to win whether that’s scoring, defending, rebounding, or creating opportunities for others. I play with energy and give 110%.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
My mentality is built on discipline, competitiveness, and continuous growth. I’m the type of player who stays coachable, embraces feedback, and is always looking for ways to improve my game and elevate the people around me. Whether things are going well or adversity shows up, I stay composed, focused, and team-first. Off the court, I take pride in being accountable and respectful.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I’m the past two term President for NSBE Jr.
Regional Officer for Jack and Jill of America. School Ambassador representing the school for prospective families. National Honors Society and Student Athlete Award.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my experiences, I’ve developed service-oriented qualities that continue to shape who I am on and off the court. As Captain of my JV basketball team, I learned how to lead by example, communicate effectively, encourage teammates, and help create a positive and accountable team culture. Outside of sports, volunteering with local charities has helped me develop deeper commitment to give back.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One challenge Miles is navigating the journey as a younger rising junior. While many athletes choose to reclassify, I remained committed to my path because I want to be recognized equally for both my athletic ability and academic achievements. This experience has strengthened my resilience, confidence, and determination to let my work ethic and performance define me.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that offers a strong balance of academics and athletics, where I can continue to grow both on and off the court. I plan to major in Business with interests in Finance and Sports Management, so a school that provides strong academic support, leadership opportunities, and real-world experiences. I am seeking a competitive and supportive environment that challenges me.
