12p 6r 1b 1s vs BABC
-Thrill had the misfortune of drawing a really good BABC group that beat them by 5 in a route to the tournament championship game. But Tema continued to prove his value as a W/F tweener that consistently impacts the game with his motor. Tema blocked a shot at the rim and took the ball C2C before finishing at the opposite end with the inside hand, hit a one-dribble pull jumper on the baseline that splashed nothing but net, served as an effective cutter and roll option in the halfcourt that hit layups with his strong hand, and was active on the glass as an offensive rebounder that fought through double teams to extend possessions for his group. His blend of size, energy, and willingness to do the dirty work of setting screens/hedging ball screens/running down guards in transition is proving to be invaluable for a Thrill team that is slowly coming together.

Really like the physicality Tema brings to the game. He uses his length to come down with boards and contest shots. He always seemed to be in the right spots on the floor to convert scoring chances inside. He has great footwork around the painted area of the floor. Tema also went to the charity stripe.

-The Thomas Johnson wing has a really intriguing blend of skills as a W/F tweener with some nice upside. Tema has a great frame, plays hard at both ends of the floor, and should carve out a substantial role with Boys Latin as a physical rebounder that can guard multiple spots. Tema’s skill level has come along nicely over the past few months, as he can more effectively put the ball on the floor and pass off the live dribble. Intrigued to track his development over the offseason to see how it fluctuates as he continues to grow taller.

-Came away really liking the energy that Tema brings for his team at both ends of the floor as a dynamic wing prospect. Tema has good positional size and a strong frame, runs the floor hard in both directions, and is a versatile defender at this age group for Thrill. The improved skill shown through on a smooth baseline turnaround jumper and a short midpost fadeaway off the catch several possessions later. He did his job rim-running in transition to clean up misses around the basket and to serve as a lob/roll target in fastbreak opportunities. The explosiveness has improved but once he is consistently dunking off of two feet or off vert, it will add yet another dimension to his game.
