Olajuwon’s 34-point season-high performance was a true scoring masterclass. Crafty pickups to glide through traffic for quick floaters, showing elite body control and polished footwork in tight spaces. Anytime Olajuwon put the ball on the deck, he became a problem, getting to his spots along the arc, elevating with a fluid burst and high release that allowed him to stay unfazed by tight defense or late contests, finishing with four made three-pointers. A tough-shot maker with ankle-breaking handles that consistently created separation and clean angles.

Malik Olajuwon Malik Olajuwon 6'4" | PG Clements High School | 2027 TX delivered a remarkable 31-point performance against Hightower High School, carrying a significant scoring burden for Clements High School. In total, the team managed to score 56 points, which means Malik contributed more than half of Clements High School’s points. This game further showcased his exceptional three-level scoring ability, forcing defenses to compensate for his lack of coverage. While his offensive prowess is undeniable, Malik also possesses valuable defensive skills. He uses his height to compete effectively on the defensive end, blocking shots and making an effort to secure the ball on the perimeter. Throughout the season, Malik has been consistently impressive and Clements High School remains at the top of the standings in a position I don’t foresee changing anytime soon.

Malik Olajuwon Malik Olajuwon 6'4" | PG Clements High School | 2027 TX put on a huge offensive display against Seven Lakes at the Katy ISD Tournament. In this game against a formidable Seven Lakes team, he put up 25 points scoring inside and out of the perimeter creating for himself. When handling the ball, he was a downhill scoring threat that created numerous opportunities due to his 6’4 length and burst of speed to lose defenders. As I could tell throughout the game Malik was a comfortable shooter from the perimeter that capitalized on plenty of shots from deep. He was the main source for Clements High School despite the loss to Seven Lakes High School.
