Veal has emerged as one of the biggest stock risers in Texas thanks to his combination of length, mobility, and defensive production. He runs the floor extremely well, protects the rim naturally, and has become increasingly comfortable spacing the floor offensively. His timing as a weak-side shot blocker consistently changes possessions, while his developing perimeter skill allows him to attack closeouts instead of simply settling for jump shots. Veal projects as a modern stretch-four with significant upside still ahead.

A prospect I could see blowing up this summer, Veal has started to grab the attention of local high major programs as he’s received offers from Auburn, Texas A&M and TCU in the last three months. An exceptional athlete who can block shots and explode vertically for dunks, Veal is a high upside swing for a program that will be patient and develop him. I’m buying all the stock I can with Veal right now and expect him to be a stock riser among the national consensus by the time the summer is complete.

Veal displayed comfort stepping into shots as he punished defenders from beyond the arc whenever left unaccounted for. Veal spaced the floor naturally and played within the flow of the offense, finishing with 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks while impacting the game on both ends of the court.

Veal has been one of the top rim protectors in the EYBL, averaging 2.0 blocks per game. His length and timing around the basket consistently alter shots while his rebounding helps finish defensive possessions. He provides a true interior presence on the defensive end.

A state champion in Texas, Veal helped lead Houston Christian to a 35-1 season this winter. Veal was also named all-spc and received a recent offer from UTSA just over a week ago. With tremendous athletic upside on both ends of the court, Veal pops when you watch him play. Able to throw down putback dunks and block shots, Veal has also flashed some turnaround jump-shooting and ball handling ability. I expect his recruitment to spike significantly this summer.

He efficiently rebounds at a high rate under the basket, and he presents a scoring threat from everywhere on the floor as he can convert both in the paint and on the perimeter. Landon has a good motor and can finish off alley-oops or effective post moves at the rim. He shoots free throws well at the line and is constantly a threat to score on offense and alter shots on defense.  

Veal is a high-impact producer whose value shows up across the stat sheet. He rebounds aggressively on both ends and competes defensively with physicality at the point of attack. Offensively, he presents as an athletic three-level scoring threat, capable of attacking closeouts or stretching coverage beyond the arc. In transition, he runs the floor hard and finishes above the rim. His athletic tools combined with consistent effort make him a difference-maker in structured systems.

During a recent game against Kinkaid that I attended, Landon played a pivotal role in the paint defensively and showcased his versatility offensively, scoring on all three levels. I’m confident that Landon will have an incredible summer during the circuit season, building on his school’s momentum.
