The simplest way to describe Lusakueno’s game is skilled and versatile. The 6-foot-9 four-man has the ball skills, shooting ability, interior offensive feel and fluid athleticism to play a variety of scoring roles. Lusakueno was best as a transition rim-runner and finisher where he scored with touch or power finishes on the rim but he also impressed with his face-up driving ability out of the mid-post and three-point shooting off the catch.

First time seeing this post since last summer.  Like the growth we saw as he did showcase the feathery mid-range game that we saw previously particularly in the mid-range and baseline.  Cut off the ball, effective as a roller, and handled it in the open floor.  The skilled post is a quality passer as well.  He was solid on the glass in this game.  Overall the mobility has seemed to really improve as he notched 19 points (7-15 FG) (0-4 3PT) (5-5 FT), 7 rebounds, and 2 dimes.

Team CP3 16 U looked dominant in a double-digit victory over The Family as their team had two players finish with 20 points and Lusakueno at 19. I liked how Lusakueno looked more assertive in the paint, shooting over smaller defenders when catching in the 8-10 foot range of the court and looking to post up and score. Lusakueno also had a couple transition layups where he extended past a shorter rim protector. The most exciting part about Lusakueno’s game is how much growth is left for him to make, if he improves his natural touch at the rim and starts making a high percentage of 3-point shots, he’ll become one of the toughest guys to defend in all of high school basketball. I expect him to improve in both of these areas and continue to remind people why he’s regarded as a top 10 national prospect in the 2028 class.

Once regarded as the top player in the country, I still have a lot of stock in Lusakueno long term as a stretch forward who has the height, length and shooting ability to stretch the floor. Luskueno had a big sophomore season for Woodward Academy with multiple 25+ scoring outbursts against top competition in the state. I’ve also been impressed with Lusakueno at Team USA minicamps, where he’s able to play a complimentary role and focus on providing value outside of scoring and shooting. For Lusakueno, filling out his body and becoming an impact defender are areas where he can grow and improve his impact both right now and long term. I still believe Lusakueno has a ton of upside with his movement skills and perimeter shooting for his size and think he’s an excellent long term prospect.

One of the top forwards in the country, Lusakueno is coming off the most productive season of his young career. He is a unique prospect with an impressive blend of size, length, athleticism, and skill, operating primarily facing the basket at this stage. Lusakueno plays with a high basketball IQ and has the ability to stretch the floor as a perimeter shot maker, while also using his physical tools to create matchup problems. With continued development, he has the potential to emerge as one of the top overall prospects in the 2028 class.

The sophomore glides up and down the floor, using his length to score efficiently around the rim while also anchoring the defense. He plays with an advanced feel for the game and a high basketball IQ, and as his body continues to develop physically, his overall impact and ceiling should continue to rise.

One of the nation’s most uniquely talented forwards, Lusakueno has a combination of high level size, skill, athleticism and length. The combo forward plays mostly facing the rim at this point but as he adds strength, will become more productive in the paint. The sophomore has a high basketball IQ, can stretch the floor with shot making and has plenty of upside.

Our #1 ranked national prospect in the 2028 class showed off his impressive offensive upside on Sunday with a big day shooting the basketball on the perimeter and using his long strides in transition and on drives to score in the paint. Showing tremendous shot-making upside for his size, Lusakueno’s ceiling will be reached if he can also become a plus defender. Considering his foot speed and length, Lusakueno has the potential to be an impactful defensive prospect as well. Expect some of the top teams in the country to be involved in his recruitment.

A top-ranked player nationally, Lusakueno left Pace Academy for Woodward Academy in August. Bentley won a FIBA Gold Medal with the USA 16U team. He has an elite ceiling. He will make a huge impact at Woodward Academy but isn’t yet a dominant player. His defense will be his most influential calling card but Bentley also has a well-rounded smooth combo-forward game. Lusakueno averaged 7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game as a freshman.
