The Class AAA Preseason All State team

We give you the names that we expect to shine the brightest this winter at the Class AAA level in the preseason All State Team.   First Team   [player_tooltip player_id='2126117' first='Malachi' last='Hill'] of Totino-Grace (Sr). Hill is the top scoring lead guard in the senior class and he is coming off a great spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']. this weekend: playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] in the 3SSB Adidas nationals.   [player_tooltip player_id='2533408' first='Deon' last='Wallace-Johnson'] of DeLaSalle (Sr).  A top ten player and prospect in the state, Deon does some of everything for his team and he does those things with the explosiveness of a D1 athlete.  This weekend: at the Adidas Nationals in Rock Hill.   [player_tooltip player_id='2412724' first='Dre' last='Collins'] off Richfield (Sr).  An all state player and the Richfield leading scorer last year, Collins is next up on many D2 lists. This weekend: with Select in Indianapolis in the PH national championships.   [player_tooltip player_id='2126102' first='Jaeden' last='Udean'] of DeLaSalle (Sr).  One of the most explosive shooters anywhere, Udean can change a game quickly with his touch. Coming off a huge weekend in St. Louis.  This weekend: is playing in Memphis with [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite']   [player_tooltip player_id='2126126' first='Ray' last='Brau'] of Hibbing (Sr).  Brau is the other guy that most players in the state are going to have a tough time matching number wise as Ray averaged 26 points and 11 boards a game last season for a 20 win team.  This weekend: Playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] in Chicago.   Second Team   [player_tooltip player_id='1956268' first='Shay' last='Jackson'] of Totino-Grace (Sr).  The top ball pressuring lead guard in the state is also one of the quickest in the state and a top leader.  Has a CSP offer for the D2 level. This weekend: with Select in Indianapolis in the PH national championships.   [player_tooltip player_id='2557528' first='Ichima' last='Idoko'] of DeLaSalle (Jr).  The top junior prospect in the state has the ability to do everything a small forward and a power forward can do for a team on either end.  As he becomes more consistent he will become a more dominant player.  This weekend: in Adidas Nationals with Power 5.   [player_tooltip player_id='2435232' first='Jumair' last='Wright'] of Minneapolis South (Jr). One of the elite juniors in the state, Wright did something special and that is taking South to state. He's his own brand in a unique way and has a chance to grow that 23 a game with 21 wins to something even bigger at South. This weekend: with [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] in Memphis   [player_tooltip player_id='2140712' first='Willie' last='Roelofs'] of Mahtomedi (Sr).  Willie had a great winter scoring 22 a game for the Zephyrs last year and we think he can have an all state level senior season. This weekend: not playing   [player_tooltip player_id='1895712' first='Daniel' last='Zoa'] of Totino-Grace (Jr).  A high school version of Jordan Murphy that scored 8.4ppg last year, if he can become more assertive in the paint he has the potential to be a college version.  This weekend: playing in the 3SSB championships with [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] at Rock Hill (SC).   Third Team   [player_tooltip player_id='2877064' first='Carter' last='Brown'] of Duluth Denfeld (Sr).  Stat wise there is nobody returning in the state that can match the 28 and 13 of Brown last season.  Also shot 39 percent at the arc last year and has really high potential. This weekend: uncertain, have not see him with Comets the last few weeks.   [player_tooltip player_id='2424180' first='Grant' last='Hansen'] of Orono (Sr).  Hansen is one of the hardest working players in the state and a 20 point per game scorer from last season. A three and D guy that is tough to boot! This weekend: with Fury in Indianapolis in the PH national championships.   [player_tooltip player_id='2569233' first='De'Anthony' last='Sells'] of St. Cloud Apollo (Sr). Sells exploded on the scene last year as a 20 and 10 guy and then then went and had agreat 17u season.  He is an explosive and activity 6'6 four man that has the agility to be versatile.  This weekend: playing with Minnesota Gold in Chicago or KC.   [player_tooltip player_id='2126113' first='AJ' last='Taban'] of Totino-Grace (Sr).  The Draymond Green of the 17u season as he handles, passes, boards, scores in the paint and is vocal.  Next up is to play that role in more time this winter for the Eagles (won't need to handle for this team of course).  This weekend: playing with Elevate Skills in Memphis.   [player_tooltip player_id='2140700' first='Tyrece' last='Hagler'] of Richfield (Sr).  Hagler scored over 16 points a game last season and is one of the deadlier shooters in the state. This weekend: with Select in Indianapolis in the PH national championships.   [player_tooltip player_id='2569247' first='Jiech' last='Jiech'] of St. Cloud Tech (Sr).  Jiech scored nearly 23 points a game last season and has been outstanding for [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] this 17u year.  Jiech has taken that scoring guard ability and applied it at 17u and helped making [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] one of the best teams this season. Also grabbed seven boards last year. This weekend: with [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] in Memphis   Fourth Team   [player_tooltip player_id='2574749' first='Gideon' last='Horne'] of Richfield (Sr).  Horne is one of the most explosive players in the state.  He scored 15 a game last winter. This weekend: with Sizzle MHC playing in the Baltimore live event.   [player_tooltip player_id='2126166' first='Jaylan' last='Hynes'] of Totino-Grace (Sr). A smooth shooting guard with a pretty shot and when he gets in a rhythm Hynes is very dangerous. Has a chance to really blossom this winter into a D2 guy. This weekend: playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] in Memphis.   [player_tooltip player_id='2559428' first='Taaj' last='Whitlock'] of DeLaSalle (Jr).  A crafty, smart, skilled and hard working lead guard that can do things at both guard spots for the islanders.  Started for the state's second best team in AAA last year.  This weekend: with [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] 16s in Memphis   [player_tooltip player_id='2388674' first='Jonas' last='McCreary'] of DeLaSalle (Jr). McCreary looks a bit taller, stronger, and more explosive. At 6'6/6'7 as a wing, he is skilled as a three and we are now seeing him do big things physically. This weekend: with [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] in nationals of Adidas in Rock Hill.   [player_tooltip player_id='2575638' first='Izayah' last='Cook'] of St. Cloud Tech (Sr).  I thought Cook took some really nice steps forward playing with the Heat this 17u season before his injury.  He scored 16.6 points a game at Sauk Rapids two years back and should have a chance for a big senior season. This weekend: injured   [player_tooltip player_id='2417091' first='Isiah' last='Boyer'] of Becker (Sr).  Boyer scored 17 points a game last year for a 22-win team, he was also a playmaker and a 38.5 percent three point shooter.  Excellent track speed that is also basketball speed. This weekend: in Indy playing with Northstart Titans in the PH Nationals.   Fifth Team   [player_tooltip player_id='2815371' first='Owen' last='Potts'] of St. Peter (Sr). Owen will be the best player in the section this year after his 19 a game last year and his excellent 17u season. This weekend: playing in Kansas City with the Lightning.   [player_tooltip player_id='2858361' first='John' last='Omoyeni'] of Hill-Murray (Sr).  Big John battled his way to a 16.3 point, 8.7 rebound season last year at 6'5 and he has been really good in 17u as well. This weekend: With the [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] in the PH Nationals in Indy.   [player_tooltip player_id='2397796' first='Judah' last='Mitchell'] of Bloomington Kennedy (Jr).  A scorer at six feet that scored almost 23 points a game last year and is ready for a huge junior year.  This weekend: playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] 16s in Memphis   [player_tooltip player_id='2393884' first='Dexter' last='Simmons'] of Stewartville (Soph). All the potential is there as an agile 6'8 talent with skill. Averaged eight and four a season ago, when the consistency hits, look out. This weekend: playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] 15s in the Adidas nationals.   [player_tooltip player_id='2569253' first='Leo' last='Clifford'] of St. Paul Highland Park (Sr). Clifford scored 20 points a game last year as a versatile scorer and we look to him to be one of the top few players in the St. Paul City next and of course in this section. This weekend: playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] in Indy at PH Nationals.   Sixth Team   [player_tooltip player_id='2815445' first='Levi' last='Hopp'] of New Ulm (Sr)).  Levi is the playmaker and leader, and he averaged 15 points, five boards, three assists, and three steals a game. This weekend: playing in Kansas City with the Minnesota Rise   [player_tooltip player_id='2140591' first='Colin' last='Moore Jr'] of St. Paul Johnson (Sr). The Governor starting point guard is back after scoring 11 points a game as a junior. This weekend: with Hoop Habits in Louisville.   [player_tooltip player_id='2417567' first='Oliver' last='Voigt'] of Marshall (Jr). A 16 point per game scorer at 6'7 inside last year, Oliver has a chance to take a big step and be a dominant player in the section. Just picked up an offer from Southwest Minnesota State. This weekend: playing with Team Warwick in Louisville.   [player_tooltip player_id='2826033' first='Pete' last='Tschetter'] of Stewartville (Sr). Tschetter is the top returning scorer for the Tigers at 11-12 a game and the guy to lead the Tigers back to state. This weekend: playing with Heat in the Fury/Heat Summer Shutdown event in Forest Lake.   [player_tooltip player_id='2417228' first='Liam' last='Oakland'] of Northfield (Jr). Oakland scored nine a game last year and will move into the key scorer role for the Raiders. this weekend: playing with the Fury in the PH nationals in Indy.
