More of a long-term prospect than someone who would be looked at to produce early this season for DeLaSalle, Jonas stepped up when his number was called against Alexandria. DeLaSalle was missing some key players, so Jonas played big minutes throughout the game, and his off-ball movement was key. Jonas was constantly finding pockets of space off the ball, and when his teammates found him he wasn’t missing. McCreary converted on a handful of tough looks around the basket, and also knocked down a three in the first half. High ceiling prospect with his blend of length, skill, and athleticism at 6’6.

Jonas may have been the best pure scorer I saw at the event on Saturday. At 6’6 he moves in a way that not many other players his size can, combining a rare combination of length, agility, and handle that allows him to either blow by guys off the dribble or get into his pull-up jumper. All day long he was lethal from mid-range, while also showing the touch to finish full speed at the rim with either hand. Part of a loaded 2028 class that will have DeLaSalle looking dangerous for the next three years.

At 6’6”, Mccreary plays a style of basketball that is hard for defenses to play against. He is the size of a forward but can handle and control the ball like a guard. He was most effective when driving to the basket, utilizing crafty ways of getting around a defender. On different occasions, he used a hop step, euro step, and even a drop step when he had a much smaller defender on him. The variety of footwork makes his game unpredictable for opposing defenses.
