Colin Moore – Moore is a six-foot 2027 guard from St. Paul Johnson that is averaging 10.3 points per game with a high this season of 15 points versus Minneapolis South and Park Center. Moore really shines as a facilitator and at Johnson he has lots of guys to hit with passes to make shots. Moore is a strong guard that also plays football and that vision on the football field as a runner he uses on the basketball court as a passer. In 6 recorded games the 2027 junior is averaging 7.3 assists per game and versus Two Rivers he handed out 10.

Colin did a little bit of everything on Monday night for Johnson. His pace on the ball, combined with strong frame allowed him to beat his defender and get all the way to the rim for some strong finishes. Just seems to float out on the perimeter before picking his moment to attack. Colin does a great job of throwing the ball up the floor to give his team transition scoring opportunities, is an unselfish player, and provides an extra rebounding option for his team. Had a few missed lay-ups that I’m sure he’d like to get back, but still finished with a well-rounded 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in a win.

Colin turned in a really solid performance in the 15U quarterfinals, helping his team to a hard fought win. He is a well rounded player and was making a major impact on both ends of the floor. The 2027 guard is a good on-ball defender and was getting his hands in passing lanes for steals. He cashed in on a ton of fast break layups, but was also going to work in the half court. He was fighting through traffic for tough finishes and can step out and hit shots from deep as well.

Colin’s combination of strength and playmaking were very intriguing to watch and he made a lot of positive plays on both ends of the floor. He is capable of going to work down low, resulting in some contested finishes that he made look easy. Moore has advanced vision for his age as well, commonly setting up teammates for success with passes.
