Jumair Wright Jumair Wright 6'0" | PG/C Minneapolis South | 2028 State MN – The six-foot 2028 Minneapolis South point guard Wright proved this spring and summer with Hoop Habits that he can operate as much more than just a microwave scoring guard. While Wright still possesses instant scoring ability, and can really score in volume on the perimeter or driving to the rim, Wright showcased his ability to be more patient, handle pressure, move the ball, and operate as a lead ball handler and creator.

Jumair was all event team at every single one of those events and that translates to first team all state.

That is really the only explanation needed but Jumair also led his team to the UA Rise finals in July (runner up in the second UAA division) and he led his team to a 36-7 record.

Jumair has been one of my favorite players to watch this spring and summer, as he is such an elite offensive engine. He proved how good of a true point guard he can be, facilitating for his team very well. His speed and shiftiness open up the floor so much, as the defense is forced to help off of others. Wright is a dynamic scorer as well, slashing to the basket and hitting on tough shots from the perimeter off the dribble.

Wright has always been a hyper-active ball handler and scorer, especially off the dribble but even spotted up. Wright quickly gets shots up, and anytime he has the ball in his hands in transition he’s been dangerous to score. Recently Wright’s game as a lead ball handler and point guard seems to have grown with ability to play with pace and steadiness.
