2026 Comets Shootout First Look

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Many years ago we nicknamed the Comets Shootout the "Daytona 500" of Minnesota basketball for a reason, and that's because damn near everybody in the state plays in the event and it's at the start of the season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>And based on the fact that I have already heard from 13 NSIC schools, three other D2s, about 20 D3 schools and about ten other schools that plan to have somebody from their program attend...... if you are a 17u player that is competing someplace else...... not smart (when it comes to playing in front of college coaches). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>The 17U Field</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I love the 17u Field. I look at this group and see several candidates that could win it all.
