Ran the floor well in transition and finished through contact at the rim with real force. Showed a soft floater in the lane when help arrived early, which gave him another way to score without forcing a tough finish. As a passer he stood out too — made some impressive reads, found teammates in rhythm, and turned pressure into easy looks.

Good size and mobility with a lethal midrange game and real touch close to the rim. In the midrange, he can score off dribble pull-ups or off the catch. He can also effectively drive from the perimeter to the elbow and work in turnaround fadeaways. He’ll often times be able to drive closer to the block and get pure looking turnaround hook shots off as well. Solid passer of the ball too, and he runs the floor well in transition.

Scores from all three levels, and does it in flurries when his teammates need him to. Strong rebounder at both ends who covers his area well, with a lot of his finishes coming off his own offensive board. Passes out of the post to find the open man, and surveys from the top of the key before feeding it inside. Real variety to his looks from deep: a quick lateral slide into a pull-up, catch-and-shoot off a screen with his feet set, and spot-ups when he is already planted in the corner. Works his feet along the baseline to create good midrange attempts.

Adryan has made some nice improvements since I saw him last summer. He’s come back for his 17u season playing a lot tougher and with more grit on both ends. Last year he would try to make a lot of plays off the dribble and it would hurt his efficiency, but the potential was always there. Now he’s making it a lot more of a focus to get good looks at the rim, and compete on the block. Miller was working hard to pull in rebounds, was chasing down every loose ball, and had no problem finishing through contact. Add that to his mobility and handle at 6’7 and he’s looking like a prospect to know for the Minnesota Heat .
