Xavy is one of my favorite guards to watch in this class and he showed out again on Friday night. He is so quick and is at his best when creating shots for himself and his team, as he likes to get downhill and to pull-up jump shots in the mid-range. He has no trouble finishing over larger defenders inside, being able to hang in the air and absorb contact, also getting to the line often. Ivey is great at pushing the pace in transition as well, using his speed and vision.

Xaviahn had an impressive showing during his junior season debut last night. He’s one of the quickest players in Minnesota, and was flying up the floor to give his team a numbers advantage in transition consistently. Ivey has the body control and finishing touch to go coast-to-coast to score on his own, but always keeps his eyes scanning the floor looking for an open teammate as well. High energy guard who put his hustle on display when he finished a lay-up, sprinted back on defense, poked the ball free, and then dove on the floor for the steal.
