Look at Asher Wieberdink Asher Wieberdink 6'7" | PF Central Minnesota Christian | 2027 State MN . His schedule for the summer was MBCA Camp, Great Plains Alliance, 2k26, and the Fury/Heat Summer Shutdown. While he was at those events rim running for rebounds, rim finishes and showing off his agility at 6’7/6’8 he had a ton of Northern Sun schools watching and giving him opportunity.

Asher can now pick between Minnesota State-Moorhead, Sioux Falls, Northern State, and Southwest Minnesota State when it comes to scholarship options. Four really good options.

It’s easy to see why Asher’s stock has skyrocketed over the last few months. The 6’7 forward was unstoppable in the pick & roll against Heiser Skills Academy , leading his team to a hard fought win. Asher sets hard screens to free up his guards, and has good hands to catch in a crowd before powering his way up to finish. Asher has a lean frame, and doesn’t shy away from contact around the basket. His strength and body control helps him convert on some difficult looks through contact, and he showed the explosiveness to quickly get off the floor for a dunk when the help-side defender was late stepping in. So productive every time I watch him play.

We have been high on Asher for a long time but at this point we might be even higher. At 6’7 and much stronger, but also more agile and more explosive, Asher has the skills. We are also now seeing him do things as a dominant paint player finishing and rebounding as well. Asher had 14 points and 12 boards in the win over The Comets plus four assists! Asher dunked explosively three times in his seven of ten shooting and D2 schools were watching.

Asher isn’t some secret out here, he’s a well known prospect from Class A but I don’t know that all schools have seen him lately. If they haven’t they are missing a talent that has really matured the past few months into a rebounding, strong finishing, and even more explosive force.

Going up against a guard heavy Hoop Habits Elite team, Asher was going to work in the paint. With his long and lean frame, Asher plays a lot stronger than he may look, as he embraces contact around the rim and isn’t afraid to play some bully ball. Anytime he caught on the block, Asher was looking to get right to the rim to finish. On one of those plays he rose up for a powerful dunk. Asher is comfortable operating out on the perimeter where he moves well at his size, can handle the ball in space, and has the shooting touch that makes him a pick & pop threat.

Asher has added a nice bit of strength on his 6’7 frame while maintaining his mobility, making him a versatile forward at the 17u level. Up against Minnesota Heat I was really impressed with his passing ability out of the high post, able to face up and spot a cutting teammate, while also having the skill to get to the rim with a quick one/two dribble drive. Soft touch around the rim, combined with relentlessness on the glass on both ends of the floor. Capable ball handler who can dribble out of trouble at times or push the ball in space.
