2025 The Expo: Oregon Preview

In this article:
Registration has been completed and the roster is set for the 2025 PrepHoops Oregon Expo, which will take place on Saturday, September 20 at The Courts in Beaverton. As always, the talent level in the gym will be high and college coaches from the NCAA D-II, NCAA D-III, NAIA, and junior college ranks will be on hand to watch the action and others will be able to catch it live streaming on Baller TV. Here's a quick look at some of the general things to watch out for.
Top Talent Will Be In the House
While there were some conflicts such as Fall League, individual school elite camps, and even the Oregon/Oregon State football game that prevented some players from attending, there are still many top-ranked players who signed up to participate. Leading the way are a couple of guys from the most recent Top Ten in guards

Solid Size on the Court
As usual, the majority of the players on the floor will be guards. While there aren't any true bigs at this year's event, there are a handful of taller forward/wing types that will be on the floor. The aforementioned

Road Tripping From Afar
As expected, the rosters at the Expo are filled with Portland-area players with a handful coming up from Salem, but others have chosen to take the road trip to join in the fun in Beaverton. Central Oregon will be well represented with players from Madras, Ridgeview, and Summit, Eugene will have standouts from North Eugene, Sheldon, and South Eugene, and Southern Oregon will bring players from schools such as Crater and North Medford up I-5.
There will be some out-of-state representation as well. Carson Morningstar (2026 Prairie) and Landan Chiong (2027 Heritage) are crossing the Columbia River from Vancouver to attend and Gavin Rosebaugh (2027 Santa Rosa) is coming up from Northern California. And while they will be attending Roosevelt this upcoming season, brothers Jayden Metcalf and Tylen Metcalf will get their first true taste of Oregon basketball after moving to the state from Georgia.
The event starts at noon on Saturday and all the action will conclude by 4 pm. Attendance is free for all spectators. PrepHoops Oregon will be providing full coverage of the event on Twitter and will have plenty of write-up coverage in the days and weeks after it concludes.
