The Central Catholic senior is currently in the midst of talking to a number Division I schools and a number of them are waiting out the transfer portal period before extending possible offers. We caught up with “Bam” for an interview after the game and will be posting an update soon, which includes a full list of the schools he is currently talking to.

Had Oregon captured the win, “Bam” would have been arguably the pick for MVP. The team fell behind early but when the senior guard checked into the game, the feel immediately changed as he simply made things happen. Paschal was unstoppable getting to the basket where he used his quickness and athleticism to finish plays and he was a jet going up and down the floor in transition. He was sharp with his shooting at all levels – 7-for-12 overall and 2-for-4 from three – and finished with 19 points and 9 rebounds.

2025-26 Stats: 17 ppg, 6 rpg

2025-26 Awards/Honors: 6A First Team All-State (Oregonian, OSAA), 6A State First Team All-Tournament, Mt Hood Player of the Year

Breakdown: First and foremost, we were able to see a healthy Paschal this season and he delivered as a triple-double threat every night and helped bring the Rams to the brink of a state title. While his statistics weren’t necessarily eye-popping, it was more due to the fact that Central Catholic was deep and balanced within their top six players. The point guard who will be on Team Oregon in the Northwest Shootout is extremely athletic and skilled and is currently looking over his college recruitment which includes multiple options.

Projected Level: Low to Mid Major D1

Analysis: He reinforced his status as one of the top players in the state for the 2026 class with an impressive showing at the state tournament, averaging 16.7 points per game across a standout run. A fast, dynamic guard, Paschal plays with excellent pace and control, thriving as both a floor general and a scorer. Offensively, he’s difficult to contain—capable of stretching the floor with his shooting while also attacking downhill as a relentless slasher who finishes effectively at the rim. His tight handle and quickness allow him to consistently break down defenders, and he excels in transition, creating easy scoring opportunities. Paschal has a proven ability to deliver in high-pressure moments, showing poise and confidence as a clutch performer. Beyond scoring, he impacts the game in multiple ways—competing defensively, staying active on the glass, and generating second-chance opportunities for his team. His motor, toughness, and complete skill set make him a constant presence on both ends of the floor. A First Team All-State selection, he currently holds a Division I offer from Portland State.

1ST Team

Paschal lead the Rams to the brink of a state title, to cap off an incredible year that saw the team win the Mt. Hood title & Paschal named league POY. An explosive point guard who is equally adept at running the show or creating his own shots, Bam is exploring his college options.

The versatile senior guard, did it all for the Rams as they pulled away from South Salem in a high scoring affair. Paschal tallied the rare high school triple double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, & 13 assists to lead Central back to the Chiles Center, where they have their eyes set on winning their 2nd state title in three years.

Bam Paschal | 6’1 PG | 2026

Bam Paschal delivered when it mattered most. He finished with 11 points, all coming in the second half, along with five assists, stepping up as the steady hand when the game tightened. St. Pius threw multiple fresh defenders at him in an effort to wear him down, but Paschal stayed composed and continued to break the press and trap after trap.

He plays like a natural quarterback. Paschal has a nice handle, sees the floor well, and consistently puts teammates in position to score. When defenses committed to stopping him, he made them pay by finding the open man and keeping the offense flowing.Beyond the playmaking, his athleticism showed up on the defensive end. Paschal went up high to secure defensive rebounds, helping initiate transition. His poise, leadership, and ability to control the game make him a reliable lead guard and a player you want with the ball late.
