Arguably the top performer from the teams that didn’t win on Friday was Powe. Coming off the bench he came in looking to make a difference offensively and ended up becoming the Eagles top scorer with 16 points. The senior guard was aggressive getting to basket which led to some free throw opportunities in addition to straight up buckets.

delivered a strong, physical performance, finishing with 17 points and 7 rebounds. A true floor general, he consistently attacked the rim, drew contact, and converted at the free-throw line. He plays with a high motor, works hard on both ends, and is an excellent on-ball defender. For his size, he rebounds at a high level and brings toughness and leadership that impact the game beyond the box score.

He did a great job chasing down loose balls and long rebounds, staying active and fighting to get more opportunities for his squad. Also made some hustle plays in transition, chasing down ballhandlers from behind to create turnovers that led to quick buckets. Also showed some confidence from long-range to size up his man and bury outside shots.
