A very talented complete player whom I’ve seen over the course of 2.5-years make the necessary progress to solidify himself as a legitimate Division 1 prospect. He’s making the transition and expanding his role this season as the main PG decision-maker in the half-court sets. He has good passing skills and can create to get downhill in a hurry, with finishes in the paint and above the rim with dunks using his speed, length, and athleticism. Defensively, colleges will appreciate how hard he competes on that end of the floor; he can really deny the basketball in passing lanes. He’s one year or less away from being a 6’6” PG that can get you triple-doubles in 10+ games. Off the ball, he can knock down the 3-pointer with NBA range. At the P32 tournament in St. Louis, Treyson with Perseverance Pirates showcased his athleticism and versatility on both ends of the floor. He consistently played above the rim, using his length and instincts to make an impact on the glass. A high-motor forward, he runs the floor well in transition, embraces physicality, and finishes through contact. His effort level and toughness stood out throughout the tournament, and his willingness to do the dirty work made him a valuable presence every time he stepped on the court.

A lot of the offensive load is going to be placed on the back of Hill this upcoming season and as we’ve seen previously in June, the rising junior is more than capable of taking that on. In an overtime win over Cleveland, the rangy wing used his length to both shoot over defenders from the perimeter and create and finish at the rim, with his aggressiveness translating over to the offensive boards as well. While scoring was no doubt his main goal, he capably shared the ball with teammates for their own opportunities too.

Hill is a newer addition to this Perseverance 16U squad, but he didn’t waste any time asserting himself and showing his all-around skill set. Had a good stroke from 3-point range, showed some burst on his initial step, and had a handful of really strong takes to the rim. He’s got some length at 6-foot-6, and showed off some creative playmaking and ball handing too. Pretty interesting prospect to keep tabs on.

Tough loss for Thurston against Clackamas but Hill did everything he could to keep the short-handed Colts in the game. The rising junior was near unstoppable getting to the basket for buckets and was smooth in the mid-range, hitting a couple of threes as well. What makes Hill so incredibly difficult to defend is his length and ranginess as it allows him to finish over and around opponents near the hoop. 23 points and 10 rebounds.

Treyson showcased an intriguing blend of size, athleticism, and skill in the short time we watched him play. The lengthy forward is a solid outside shooter with a nice touch around the basket. Hill handles the ball well for his size and makes smart decisions, finding teammates and keeping the offense moving. His athleticism stood out as he excelled in transition, where his quickness and ability to run the floor were on display. With his versatility, length, and playmaking ability, Hill is a forward who impacts the game in multiple facets and continues to show plenty of upside.

2nd Team

The sharp shooting wing had a great year in helping Thurston reach yet another state tournament. He averaged almost 15 ppg & his shooting ability opened things up for some talented teammates to succeed as well.

Along with Labounty, Hill helped give Thurston a great one-two punch offensively and in both consolation round games he capably hit shots as well as created for himself off of the dribble. He tallied a game-high 23 points in the first win over Crater and then added another 10 in the victory over Canby for 4th place. While he’s a talented offensive player, where the sophomore also makes an impact is on defense using his length and athleticism to his advantage.
