A lot of the offensive load is going to be placed on the back of Hill this upcoming season and as we’ve seen previously in June, the rising junior is more than capable of taking that on. In an overtime win over Cleveland, the rangy wing used his length to both shoot over defenders from the perimeter and create and finish at the rim, with his aggressiveness translating over to the offensive boards as well. While scoring was no doubt his main goal, he capably shared the ball with teammates for their own opportunities too.

Hill is a newer addition to this Perseverance 16U squad, but he didn’t waste any time asserting himself and showing his all-around skill set. Had a good stroke from 3-point range, showed some burst on his initial step, and had a handful of really strong takes to the rim. He’s got some length at 6-foot-6, and showed off some creative playmaking and ball handing too. Pretty interesting prospect to keep tabs on.

Tough loss for Thurston against Clackamas but Hill did everything he could to keep the short-handed Colts in the game. The rising junior was near unstoppable getting to the basket for buckets and was smooth in the mid-range, hitting a couple of threes as well. What makes Hill so incredibly difficult to defend is his length and ranginess as it allows him to finish over and around opponents near the hoop. 23 points and 10 rebounds.

Treyson showcased an intriguing blend of size, athleticism, and skill in the short time we watched him play. The lengthy forward is a solid outside shooter with a nice touch around the basket. Hill handles the ball well for his size and makes smart decisions, finding teammates and keeping the offense moving. His athleticism stood out as he excelled in transition, where his quickness and ability to run the floor were on display. With his versatility, length, and playmaking ability, Hill is a forward who impacts the game in multiple facets and continues to show plenty of upside.

2nd Team

The sharp shooting wing had a great year in helping Thurston reach yet another state tournament. He averaged almost 15 ppg & his shooting ability opened things up for some talented teammates to succeed as well.

Along with Labounty, Hill helped give Thurston a great one-two punch offensively and in both consolation round games he capably hit shots as well as created for himself off of the dribble. He tallied a game-high 23 points in the first win over Crater and then added another 10 in the victory over Canby for 4th place. While he’s a talented offensive player, where the sophomore also makes an impact is on defense using his length and athleticism to his advantage.

One of the most complete all-around players at the event, Hill showcased his versatility and high basketball IQ. He can handle the ball, shoot the three, rebound, set screens, and finish above the rim. Defensively, he plays the passing lanes, runs in transition, and closes out hard on shooters. (AG)

Treyson Hill Treyson Hill 6'6" | CG Thurston | 2028 State OR has one of the prettiest shots in the class—his three-ball cleanly fully rotates a few times before hitting the bottom of the net. But don’t label him as just a shooter. Hill can put the ball on the floor and attack the rim and he’s able to confidently finish with his off hand.

He plays with great awareness, moving well without the ball and finding open spots in the opposition’s defense. On the boards, Hill rebounds effectively for a guard/forward, using his length and timing to give his team second chances. Defensively, his anticipation stands out—he disrupts plays, blocks shots and jumps passing lanes to create transition opportunities.
