Shah finished the summer strong with some good shooting performances at the 3SSB championships and in London with The London Showcase. He’s a tall guard who has shown time and again how he can find the feel from deep and rack up threes in a hurry. After playing at Northwest last winter, he’s moved to Edmonds-Woodway, and it will be interesting to see how his shooting can impact their season.

Shy is an athletic wing who can play a variety of positions. He scores well from the wing, using his length to his advantage when getting down-hill. He can finish with both hands at the rim and isn’t afraid to meet anyone at the rim too, playing with high confidence. Shah rebounds the ball well due his hustle and always crashing the boards.

Shah has been a key guy scoring the rock for Northwest so far and boasts a solid stroke from midrange and out to three. What really stood out in their game against Overlake though, was his length at the rim. He had at least six blocks and many of them came from just playing straight up and using his length while playing up tight on shooters. He also had a couple of blocks that showed some promising athleticism and it added another dimension to the young guards game.

Shy is a stellar athlete who plays at a high level for his age. He stands at 6’5″ already but moves like a guard and can attack from the wing or the post at a high level. Shah’s long arms help him get involved in the passing lanes to create steals and deflections for his team.
