Here we have a couple of teams on opposite ends of the spectrum heading into the NW June D1 Recruiting Event. Edmonds Woodway was a very senior-laden team last season on its way to winning 25 games. While Ferris won just seven games, and had just two seniors to go along with seven freshmen and sophomores on varsity. Each team will be led by a few standout players, but we will have to wait and see how the role players fill in around them.

2025-26 Record: 25-5

[player_tooltip player_id='2384271' first='Grant' last='Williams'] 6-3 CG 2027

25-26 Stats: 12.4 pts 3.7 rebs 1.5 ast

A talented scoring guard who has touch from every level. Williams is a good shooter but also attacks closeouts well, and can really feel out when he has space in the midrange and when he can go all the way. Has a nice finishing package and recognizes space off the ball to hit backdoors and flashes into the middle.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548216' first='Shy' last='Shah'] 6-5 SG 2028

25-26 Stats: 5.6 pts 4.9 rebs

A pretty tantalizing prospect with his size and shooting ability. Shah wasn't asked to do much scoring last season but he has the ability to catch fire from deep and can rack up threes in a hurry. Has improved his downhill attacking and rebounding to make his size felt across more areas of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2547345' first='Gavin' last='Bristol'] 6-5 SF 2028

Bristol was a late transfer to end last season, so we have yet to see him suited up for the Warriors, but he is a big wing with the talent to score from inside and out. Has a strong frame, good skill with the ball to create some shots, and will be counted on to get big on the glass next season.

Ferris (WA)

Classification: 4A

2025-26 Record: 7-16

Key Players

[player_tooltip player_id='2961544' first='Sadrian' last='Sartoe'] 6-0 CG 2028

Sartoe is a quick guard who is aggressive getting downhill and has enough burst to split defenders on his way to the basket. He'll be just as aggressive defensively, trying to get his hands on the ball and create opportunities to push the other way.

[player_tooltip player_id='2746545' first='Boston' last='Hess'] 6-0 PG 2028

Their lead guard, Hess will create a lot of their paint touches off the dribble. He has a trusty floater, can get his shot off from different angles and approaches around the paint, and utilizes pivots well in close. A solid shooter too who can space the floor and sports a pretty consistent pull-up.

[player_tooltip player_id='2716621' first='Cole' last='Floyd'] 6-7 PF 2028

Floyd is a skilled big man who continues to get stronger, amplifying his footwork with his back to the basket. He's also got the touch to face up in the midrange and shoot over defenders, and can score from a lot of areas with his variety of moves.
