Lower Merion at Coatesville: After their season opening upset of Upper Dublin, the Aces hit the road for a contest versus one of the top public-school squads in the region. Directing LM's quest to shock the world will be wing scorer Sam'i Singletary and combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2699527' first='Carson' last='Kasmer']. Both players scored 20+ in the win over Upper Dublin. Singletary shot 6 of 8 from three in that win. Coatesville features a balanced lineup that includes the stellar backcourt duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1379430' first='Amon' last='Fowlkes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1874234' first='Nasir' last='Williams']. Running with those two are 3-point ace [player_tooltip player_id='2485359' first='Colton' last='Hiller'] and elite small forward [player_tooltip player_id='1576717' first='Larry' last='Brown']. Hiller is one of the best 2028s in the area. Brown is an athletic and quick scorer who presents major match-up issues for opponents.

Friends Select at Archbishop Ryan: This Friends League vs. PCL crossover game will be an intriguing matchup between two teams that feature dynamic perimeter prospects. Friends Select will rely heavily on their three-guard lineup of point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1460781' first='Jalen' last='Chiles'] as well as combo guards [player_tooltip player_id='1865291' first='Isaiah' last='Marshall'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1890475' first='LaRon' last='Smith'] for their scoring. Chiles is one of the top scoring floor generals in SEPA. Those three should get tremendous support from stretch-4 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1667409' first='Owen' last='Coughlin']. 3-level scoring guard [player_tooltip player_id='2028256' first='Brandon' last='Russell'] will lead Archbishop Ryan's efforts. Russell's recruiting stock skyrocketed this fall after he posted a host of 20+ point games. Shooting guards [player_tooltip player_id='2424034' first='Semaj' last='Stone'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2347935' first='Keyshawn' last='Franklin'] will be key factors as well. For AR, college coaches will also want to keep an eye on [player_tooltip player_id='2251711' first='Malik' last='Hughes']. This hybrid-forward is a mid-range assassin who posted 20-points in their season opener.

Plymouth Whitemarsh at Methacton: This is another game that will feature a parade of talented guards for college coaches to watch. “P-Dub's” lineup boasts all-everything shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1576723' first='Mani' last='Sajid'] as well as three level scoring combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2427190' first='Buddy' last='Denard']. Sajid already holds a handful of DI offers. Combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2206402' first='Terron' last='Davis'] and shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2336667' first='Kyle' last='Gallagher'] will provide additional scoring. 6'8” power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2400237' first='Michael' last='Pereira'] owns a polished scoring skill set and will be difficult match-up for Methacton. The Warriors will counter with a trio of talented backcourt prospects in combo guards Sal Iemmelo and [player_tooltip player_id='2450944' first='Mason' last='Conrad'] along with shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2336671' first='Wes' last='Robinson']. Those three played fantastic during fall ball action and we expect that trend to continue during the 2024-25 season.

Penn Charter at Academy of the New Church: The basketball scheduling gods have given us an early Christmas present as two of the top ranked “independent” schools in the area go head-to-head this week. For Penn Charter, elite stretch-4 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2235863' first='Matt' last='Gilhool'] (LSU commit) and electric point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1136565' first='Jake' last='West'] (Northwestern commit) lead the PC attack. Those two are backed by high percentage shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1271429' first='Kai' last='Shinholster'] (Minnesota commit), elusive combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='991423' first='Jamal' last='Hicks Jr']. and wing [player_tooltip player_id='1486754' first='TJ' last='Bryson']. The Quakers' lineup also contains freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2450669' first='Carter' last='Smith']. Smith was a starter last year as an eighth grader and is widely considered one of the top 2028s in that state. ANC's backcourt of [player_tooltip player_id='2364681' first='Marquis' last='Newson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1387096' first='Bryce' last='Rollerson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1608494' first='Dior' last='Carter'] form an unstoppable scoring trio. All three of them are straight bucket getters. ANC is one of the few teams that has the size to defend Gilhool. Two-way forwards [player_tooltip player_id='2056714' first='Ryan' last='Warren'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1865294' first='Cameron' last='Smith'] are also major college prospects who both should see time guarding Gilhool.
