On Monday night Kasmer (20 ppg.; Gettysburg commit) continued to build his compelling case for being named the 2024-25 Central League POY. During LM’s victory over Penncrest, Kasmer poured in 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Kasmer got off to a hot start in this win as he buried 3 of his 5 made threes in the first quarter. In addition to draining triples, Kasmer pushed the rock in the open court for scores and assists. His ability to explode to the rim off the dribble is vastly underrated. Plus, Kasmer’s tenacious defense produced a host of turnovers for LM. The Aces now head into the District 1-6A tournament as the No. 1 seed. LM (19-4) has won 17 of their last 18 games.

This Gettysburg commit (D3) is posting a monster senior season and that trend continued in LM’s defeat of Springfield. On Friday night Kasmer dropped 19 points and was the best player on the court. This quick and high IQ guard splashed 2 threes and hit a few runners as well as lay-ins off the dribble. Kasmer converted on a slew of transition buckets too. Kasmer (20 ppg.) also handed out a host of assists. To be honest, his ability to work as a distributing guard is vastly underrated. LM has now won nine straight games and is 17-1 in their last eighteen games.

Kasmer’s outstanding stretch of play helped produce a 10-1 record in January for the Aces. Kasmer is a three-level scoring guard with a fantastic 3- point stroke. His handles, high IQ and patience enable Kasmer to also operate as a pass first floor general. Kasmer is sneaky explosive off the dribble and can get into the paint in a flash.

Last season Kasmer was a key “glue guy” for a LM team that won 20+ games and captured the Central League title. In 2024-25 Kasmer has ascended to the No. 1 scoring option and in January he has been especially explosive. This month Kasmer has already poured in 24 points (3 threes) versus Radnor, 21 points against (3 triples) against Harriton and 21 points versus Marple. The Aces went 3-0 across that stretch of games. Obviously, Kasmer is a fantastic 3- point shooter. He is especially accurate shooting off screen action as well as off the dribble. Once Kasmer has established his long-range shooting, this crafty guard will use a head / ball to get a defender off balance, and then attack the cup with the dribble. Kasmer is also sneaky fast and can finish trough contact. So, he is a transition scoring threat too.
