Loved the energy that Brown brings to the game. He is very active on the interior. He converted a ton of shots inside the paint and played with an aggressive motor. Liked his timing when going up to alter shots. He is an effective screen and roller.

Popping off the bench to provide a huge momentum swing in the second half, Brown’s energetic two-way impact proved to arguably be the difference in the game. The lanky swingman delivered all eight of his points during a crucial third-quarter run that saw Imhotep establish its first real momentum of the game. Brown was effective using his length and athleticism to sneak toward the rim for a trio of tough finishes, including a pair through contact that earned him trips to the line for successful and-one opportunities. His defensive effort was also key to help compensate for a lack of true size in the Panther frontcourt. Games like this are often decided by unlikely heroes and Brown proved to be the one on this night.

Brown has generated some positive buzz since joining Imhotep in June, with his natural defensive instincts and budding athleticism fitting in smoothly to the Panthers’ tough-nosed, defense-first culture. He continued to shine in his role on Saturday, using his length and innate timing to force an abundance of turnovers on the defensive end. Brown continues to look more and more explosive as a finisher, with subtle signs of increased fluidity off the dribble as well. He’s still in the process of putting all the pieces together but the finished product for Brown projects as a valuable two-way wing at the D1 level.

In 2024-25 Brown was a starter for Cardinal O’Hara who averaged 8.4 points and 5 rebounds per game while shooting 48% from the field. This past season Brown posted a few double-doubles as well as several games of 14 or more points. Recently, Brown decided to depart Cardinal O’Hara and transfer to Imhotep Charter. The rich get richer, as Imhotep is adding an effective interior scorer with a developing mid-range game. Brown’s polished footwork and length enable him to finish in close through contact. He can also dive to rim for a hoop and work the offensive glass for put backs. Brown’s jump shot has shown range out to 17-feet. On defense Brown is a tremendous rim protector and cleans the glass.

Quietly among the more impactful underclassmen in the PCL last year, Brown looks set to take a big step forward while continuing to expand his game at a healthy rate. A versatile swingman blessed with natural touch and feel, he looked more aggressive than we’d seen in the past in a way that was really nice to see. Previously more of a standstill shooter and opportunistic finisher, Brown showed improved ball skills while attacking the rim from the perimeter before finishing with a blend of skill and athleticism. He shined as he typically does with his defensive playmaking and rebounding from the wing while flashing the shooting touch that’s key to tying it all together in the long run. While still early in the process, it certainly would make sense for D1s to throw some looks Brown’s way in the upcoming scholastic live periods.

There were moments of still getting his feet wet, understandable as he was moving up from the freshman level at Lower Merion (PA), but Brown looked increasingly comfortable as the year went on and appears set to make a real splash on the league as an upperclassman. With tremendous length and natural two-way instincts, Brown impacts the game consistently without needing significant touches or usage. He shines as a defensive playmaker with versatility up and down the lineup. Offensively, he’s an efficient finisher with feathery touch near the cup and increasingly reliable ability to space the floor from 3. The flashes of scoring and playmaking off the bounce are just the cherry on top, but could push him toward the mid or high major ranks if they continue to develop over time.

A newcomer to the league after not cracking Lower Merion’s varsity last year, Brown made an instant impact at O’Hara and showed plenty of intrigue as a prospect. His length, defensive instincts, and overall touch offensively all represent great long-term building blocks. Brown was right away one of the premier defensive playmakers in the PCL. He’s still coming into his own both physically and with his skillset, but there’s every reason to believe this is a D1 prospect in due time, with sizable upside left to tap into.

43 to 31…The move from Lower Merion to O’Hara is paying early dividends for Brown. His offensive skill set has expanded and become more polished. Plus, he is receiving significant varsity minutes for the Lions. Brown’s finishing skills (transition and half-court) have shown drastic improvement. His footwork is much smoother this season. Thus Brown has become a more effective interior scorer. Still, the biggest development Brown’s game is his refined jump shot that now boasts 3-point range. On defense Brown is a tremendous rim protector and cleans the glass. Brown opened the season with a double double of 12 points and 12 rebounds against Abington Heights. Since then, Brown has posted several games of 14 or more points.
