-My favorite new find of the weekend, Pereira should see his stock/recruitment rise after a productive showing at Philly Live. Came away very impressed with his passing, as he saw the floor well both from the elbows and from the low block– finding teammates with backwards pocket passes, 1-handed bounce passes and chest passes to cutters. He also provides a ton of value as a throwback big that is a workhorse in the paint collecting rebounds and finishing with a soft touch. Finished 8/11 from the floor by taking and making easy looks that the defense gave him in the paint. Soft hook shots over his left shoulder, fluid pivot finishes off glass with either hand, and muscle-up putbacks through contact for And1 buckets at the basket.

Pereira absolutely dominated the competition at Session I of Philly HS Live. Thus, it should come as a surprise that his powerful and skilled forward just received an offer from Drexel. Pereira owns a polished interior scoring skill set and is crafty passer too. He is just scratching the surface of his potential and we expect offers to come pouring in for him here in June.

Pereira’s dominating play on the interior turned heads during the April and May grassroots circuits. Thus, it should come a s a surprise that he was a top performer at Session I of Philly HS Live. The combination of his length, solid frame, polished footwork and finishing skills made him unstoppable in the paint. Pereira scored via quick drop steps and spin moves in close as well as on dives to the cup and by bullying his defender down low. He also crashed the offensive glass for put backs, including impressive follow dunks. The big fellas produced point on the secondary break too. When teams double teamed Pereira, he displayed excellent decision making and delivered precise dimes to the open teammate. Pereira recently received an offer from La Salle University, and I expect more are headed his way soon.

After pummeling the competition on the interior during the April and May grassroots circuits, Pereira recently received an offer from La Salle University. Pereira is an athletic and agile power forward who can dominate a game at both ends of the court. On offense this spring, Pereira produced points in the half-court with his polished interior moves. Pereira torched defenders from the high post, the blocks and along the baseline. Pereira also excels at beating opposing bigs down the floor for fast break lay-ins.

Splitting his spring between Philly Pride and Team Melo, Pereira never necessarily jumped off the page statistically but nonetheless showed notable progress while battling with some of the nation’s best athletes in the frontcourt. The throwback-style low-post threat has been effective and efficient in limited minutes in EYBL play, converting consistently around the rim and showing himself to be a capable rebounder and rim protector against a higher level of competition and athleticism than he’s seen in the past. There’s still upside to tap into, as Pereira is still relatively inexperienced and won’t turn 17 until later in June. His progress and upside was recognized with La Salle extending him his first offer, as a slew of low and mid-major programs prepare to watch him later this month in the live periods.

After the destroying the competition on the April and May grassroots circuits, Pereira received an offer from La Salle University. I am willing to bet that after the June live periods that several more offers come his way. Pereira is an athletic and agile power forward who can operate successfully in an up-tempo game or a half-court style contest. His attacking mid-set and excellent rim-to-rim speed enable Pereira to beat opposing bigs down the court and be an option as a lane filler or on the secondary break. On half-court possessions, Pereira can torch defenders from the high post, the blocks and along the baseline. His ability to convert with defenders hanging all over his arms is extraordinary. At the other end of the court, Pereira is a fierce interior presence.

Big men frequently struggle to find success on the up-tempo grassroots circuit, but not Pereira. He is athletic and agile power forward with underrated rim-to-rim speed. Plus, Pereira is a big who “busts it” down the court the moment he has released an outlet pass. The combination of these assets enabled Pereira to score via the secondary break frequently. Pereira also produce points on the interior using drop steps and flip hooks as well as via the offensive glass. His versatility was on display too as Pereira operated in the high post, the dunker spots and along the baseline. College coaches will love Pereira’s solid frame and physical style.

, Pereira was the left one on one every night. This season he crushed those match ups and became a double-double machine as well as a 2nd Team All-SOL selection. Pereira’s list of double doubles from 2024-25 was highlighted by a 28 points & 12 rebounds performance in a District 1-6A tourney win over Lower Merion. Pereira is a traditional forward who does his scoring damage in the paint. He can post up and then convert over either shoulder, operate in pick-n-roll action, attack the rim from the elbows and finish from the dunker spot. Plus, Pereira is a force on the offensive glass.

Making his debut with Philly Pride alongside a mostly established core of returners, Pereira showed plenty of positive flashes while he and his new teammates got acclimated to each other. A true low post presence, there were times where his guards struggled to find him on the block, but he subsequently did a good job of staying engaged and creating second-chance opportunities for himself on the offensive glass. Pereira was a consistent bruiser on both ends, particularly while taking on a deep Shoreshots frontline. We’ll look to see him get more consistent finishing in traffic as he gains experience playing against like-sized bigs, but Pereira’s continuously progressing skillset and blue-collar approach is sure to garner D1 attention in the coming months, particularly from programs of the high-academic variety.

Pereira posed a monster junior season that will make him one of the biggest stock risers in our upcoming Class of 2026 rankings update. Pereira’s polished small forward skills were on display again at the Donofrio Classic as he notched 18 points and grabbed 11 boards. Pereira scored on the interior repeatedly via drop steps, dives to the cup and put backs on the offensive glass. He also flashed a nice face up jumper. Plus, Pereira flashed the speed to run the floor for buckets on the secondary break. On defense, Pereira is an intimidation shot blocker and dominates the boards.
