Stone is a threat to score shots off the basketball from behind the arc. He also does a nice job filling the lane in transition and can finish through contact. Stone uses his angles on the attack and is effective going downhill. He does a nice job stuffing the stat sheet with his play.

Stone has built up some buzz this fall since transferring to AFS as a repeat sophomore and continued the trend with a strong performance en route to Top-60 all-star honors at Pangos. In a camp setting that can sometimes fall into lackadaisical play, Stone kept the energy up with his aggressive downhill attack and pitbull-style on-ball defense. He controlled the point of attack on both ends of the floor while also flashing evolving range as a shooter from the perimeter. Stone’s length and two-way approach at the lead guard spot have him steadily trending up in his new surroundings.

For the last two years, Stone has been a key piece for an Archbishop Ryan squad that has made deep state tournament runs. Last season Stone was a starter for AR who posted 7.5 points, 4.5 and 3 assists per game. Stone is speedy guard with elusive handles who can get into the paint for lay-ins or kick outs to open shooters. In the half-court or on the fast break, Stone’s ability to muscle his way through traffic and get to the rack is impressive. At the defensive end, Stone is a plus player with active hands. Yesterday Stone announced he is transferring from AR to Abington Friends School and reclassing into 2028 graduate year.

After seeing spot minutes as a freshman, Stone jumped into the starting lineup and had some really nice moments at the helm of Ryan’s attack. He consistently shined on defense, using his length, instincts, and competitiveness to hound opposing ballhandlers and spark transition opportunities. Offensively, he shows strong ability to collapse a defense off the dribble before finishing or finding a teammate. His ceiling at the next level will be determined largely by the progress of his jumper in the coming years.

Stone is speedy three levels scorer who is flying under the radar on this year’s AR squad. Stone (7 ppg.) can use his elusive handles to get into the paint for lay-ins or kick outs to open shooters. When he is looking to score in close, Stone’s soft touch enables him to kiss tough angle shots off the glass. His ability to use muscle his way through traffic in the half-court or on the fast break is an underrated asset. At the defensive end, Stone is a plus player with active hands. Thus, he frequently produces steals or deflections that lead to easy buckets for AR.

Stone had no problem doing the dirty work for his team and was really aggressive on the glass battling to get positions to secure rebounds. He was really unselfish finding his teammates in the right spots on the floor. He also found his way to score and converted attempts from the foul line. He didn’t need to show his scoring to have a positive impact in the game. Stone uses his strength to bully smaller opponents who try to guard him.

Stone is an athletic and versatile guard who displayed a lethal first step and elusive dribble moves. He also demonstrated polished footwork and the ability to play off two feet. When you combine those assets, you get a prospect who is unstoppable off the bounce. Once he was in the paint, Stone finished through contact or with a creative touch. His ability to operate in pick-n-roll or DHO action was impressive too. Stone kept defenders honest by splashing several threes. On defense Stone was a menacing on-ball presence.
